I love how kind the staff are at Berkeley Orinda Orthodontics. They are so cheerful and welcoming. Before beginning treatment, their orthodontic team reviewed my case (I had some tricky issues) and presented different options. They explain what is going to happen before beginning procedures which puts me at ease. They are careful, professional and are super gentle. I had traditional braces for phase 1 and now Invisalign for phase 2. Both treatments worked wonderfully, and I am very happy with the results. When we make appointments they are very accommodating, and I am highly recommending this practice for orthodontic treatments.

I came in in a slight emergency to have my bottom retainer adjusted since it was causing me discomfort after having my braces off for a few days. Despite just being a walk-in and an out-patient, Melissa greeted me in a very understanding manner and when I told her of the urgency she immediately worked to get me seen that same day. The head Dr. also took the time to meet me and explain the basics of the adjustment and how my service would be free of charge! I was grateful to hear that as I had previously been quoted a high price at another clinic. The technician that adjusted my retainer, Becky, was so kind and friendly and really worked hard to make sure my retainer fit comfortably and I was no longer feeling pain. In all a great service and a clinic I will definitely go back to if ever necessary!

As an adult, it can be a bit intimidating to think about orthodontics. It's now been about 10 years since I first got my Invisalign from Berkeley Orthodontics. They've provided critical support to my inquiring mind throughout the processes. Most recently I had to get a replacement night retainer after my dog chewed mine. Incredible turn around time for the digitally made retainers, not even a full week! While that might not be the usual return time, I was thrilled. All of their staff are caring, helpful and very knowledgeable. Their South Berkeley office has a nice waiting area with magazines, large seating capacity, mesmerizing fish tank and special seats for kids. I highly recommend them!

My daughter has been a patient for six months and we have had a delightful experience so far. We selected this orthodontist practice for four primary reasons:

- the doctors collaborate on the treatment plan for each patient, so we received the collective knowledge of the entire group of doctors, instead of relying on one orthodontist in an individual practice
- they are a top provider of Invisalign and the doctors are all well trained (even though we aren't using for this treatment plan, this is one example of how the team keeps up current with the latest technology).
- the cost of the treatment was less than the other quotes we received from other practices
- they are thoughtful about timing of appointments (morning and afternoon are reserved for shorter appointments, which keeps the amount of time my daughter misses school to a minimum). Plus the office is a beautiful design.

If you have to do Orthodontics, this place is a good choice. They were very patient about answering my million questions about the process and the billing. We are mid-treatment and things seem to be moving along nicely. They have been extra patient about my daughter's stubborn thumb sucking habit and it's impact on the treatment - working with us on solutions rather than being frustrated with her. The office is generally on time and a pleasant mellow place. I just wish it weren't so expensive.
