The service with Dr. Cheng is so professional！She is knowledgeble that can answer all my question making me calm down. I'm very satisfied with the final result of my teeth. It exceeds my expectations！Dr.Cheng is the best orthodontist is SF . I had a very complicated underbite that was chipping my front teeth while I chewed. She fixed everything and both the function and look of my teeth is Amazing! Highly recommend her if you are an adult in SF looking for Orthodontics or alignment treatment. Your treatment will be a lot faster if you come here with personalized care and premium services.

Not a good ortho practice. When I first had invisalign (different doctor, way before) it was a smooth process and I had perfect teeth for YEARS. This Dr didn't remove all the glue from the attachments and I still feel them. Throughout the entire treatment, the aligners were off and I had to keep getting new retainers. I think the scanning process just didn't work, or she didnt plan out my teeth movements properly. Honestly I blame Dr.Cheng because I don't think she cared about me as a patient at all. It really bothered me that she started using tools to shave the bottom of my front teeth without asking me for her consent. She said it was a "hairline of a difference" but it doesn't matter. I didn't want my teeth shaved and shortened. Red flad! Anyway my treatment was supposed to take 1 year. Guess what? It took almost 3 years because of frequent mistakes. I even wanted metal braces to begin with but I was pressured into getting Invisalign.
Worst of all, by the 3 year mark, I think Dr. Cheng decided she was done doing treatment for me. I've been wearing my retainer for almost a year, nightly, and my teeth have shifted. I need to go to another Orthodontist.
I don't think my teeth were ready for the final retainer but Dr. Cheng gave up and didn't care to see me through.
I had overall a negative experience at this practice. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I can't give less than 1 star so unfortunately I have to give her 1 star. Dr. Amanda Cheng is the worse orthodontist that you will probably have if you choose to get your treatment with her. Please read all the 1 star reviews, they are 100% accurate. It is true that she has 0 bed side manner, she is rude, arrogant and entitled. She has 0 communication skills, she will not tell you anything about your treatment or any reason why she is making any decisions unless you question her and then she becomes defensive. My horror "orthodontic treatment" started when after 22 months she wanted to remove my Invisalign stating that my teeth are in their best shape and there isn't anything that she could do. After taking a look at my teeth, I realized that my lip line wasn't aligned with upper teeth and my bottom teeth were still not straight so I mentioned that to her on the day she wanted to remove my attachments. She mentioned that "it is not that bad" and not sure if there is anything that she can do. I mentioned to her that how is this possible that she didn't notice at the beginning of the treatment that my lip line won't be aligned with my upper teeth and there needs to be something that she can do to fix it. Two weeks after she came back to me and she said that I can remove one of my wisdom tooth and continue with the treatment. I did that for another 6M or so. My lip line and my upper side teeth were much more aligned after that, however my bottom teeth were not fully aligned, but because it such a dreadful experience to go and see her, I decided that it is okay to end the Invisalign treatment and get my retainers. Before she took the molds for the retainers, she tried to sell me a "retainer package" of 8 retainers for $800 only. She mentioned that if I don't get it now, it normally costs another 500 each so I was having a deal. I politely refused and I said that I am fine with 1 retainer only. I went to pick up my retainer when they messaged me that my retainer is ready to be picked up and to my pleasant surprise she told me that she made more retainers for me and she had an extra 8 for me at no cost. 1.5 years forward, my bottom teeth have shifted considerable although I have been wearing my so said retainer as instructed only to realize after extensive research she never gave me a retainer. She only gave me another set of Invisalign trays and she lied to me saying that it was my retainer.

I finished Invisalign treatment with Dr. Cheng today and am genuinely amazed at the speed and thoroughness of the visual transformation. Before starting treatment, my teeth were unusually rotated and misaligned. In recent months - even before I reached the final tray - friends and family began to remark on the dramatic improvement in my smile. I'm very, very pleased with the outcome and would recommend treatment with Dr. Cheng to anyone without hesitation.

Dr. Cheng is the best orthodontist, and her office location is so convenient in downtown San Francisco! I came to her for my Invisalign treatment and she was thoughtful and knowledgable in selecting the best plan for me. My case is particularly challenging because I had a cross-bite and slight underbite, but Dr. Cheng was able to correct for that using the Invisalign and rubber bands without surgery, which was a big priority for me. Even after COVID-19 hit, we were able to continue treatment through virtual appointments and telemedicine, and she was attentive in checking up on me and making sure that my teeth were aligning properly. When I went in to collect more rubber bands, her clinic was safe and spotless: she and all her staff wore gloves and masks and sanitized everything before, during, and after visits. She also uses state-of-the-art technology, and as a techie, I enjoyed seeing the modern equipment and software, including the 3-D images of my own teeth and their simulated movements over the course of the treatment. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for orthodontics!

Dr. Cheng and her team have been amazing. I'd been using Invisalign trays from another orthodontist for a long time and it wasn't effective at all, but I switched to Dr. Cheng and she finished my treatment in less than a year! I'm very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Dr. Cheng!

I recently underwent orthodontic treatment with Dr. Cheng, and I must express my utmost disappointment with the entire experience. From the beginning, their communication skills were severely lacking, leaving me feeling uninformed.

Throughout the course of my treatment, I had hoped for regular updates and clear communication regarding the progress and next steps. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality. She rarely provided updates and failed to explain the status of my treatment. Months after I finished my treatment, my general dentist noticed that she left an attachment on my teeth which I had to go back and remove!

To exacerbate matters, when I lost my retainer and needed a replacement, the office proved to be unresponsive and unhelpful. Despite numerous attempts to reach out via phone calls, no one ever answered, and my messages went unanswered.

What was most shocking, however, was the sudden departure of Dr. Cheng from the practice without providing any prior notice. It was a clear indication of their lack of professionalism and disregard for their patients. I was left without any information regarding the transfer of my care or who to contact for further assistance.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise against seeking orthodontic treatment from Dr. Cheng.
