I just called for a consult on something that I know would probably take the doctor 5-10 minutes to look at and they told me that a consult with Dr. Kupferman is $950 because they do not accept medical insurance, so the out of pocket fee is this!!!! What I have never in my life heard of a consult so high. What has the system come to that a doctor can charge that much for a consult. A blanket fee for anything and everything. If this isn't about money, then I don't know what is. This sickens me and I don't know how people sleep at night charging these astronomical fees. It is saddening.

STAY AWAY. UNETHICAL. I scheduled a consult with Dr. Kupferman for my mother. She needed a full set of teeth (Implants or arches). We went to a number of consults that were complimentary in the area, however LACOMS and Dr. Kupferman in particular charged $550 which we were prepared to pay. We came in with a recent CT and Xrays. So no scans were needed. We were very clear in wanting a detailed treatment plan, timelines, and cost. We got nothing!!! Instead, we were referred to Dr. Aaron Schwartzman, a prosthodontist. He explained that he needed to consult with Dr. Schwartzman to come up with a comprehensive plan.

We then made an appointment to see Dr. Schwartzman at the Prosthodonic Center which we were initially told would cost $285 for the consult. When we arrived, we spoke about different options, however nothing was definitive. He said he would speak with Dr. Kupferman for the final treatment plan and include costs and timelines. He gave me a loose VERBAL range of what he thought it might be. Then later wanted to charge an additional $700+ for more scans and tests. We already came in with a recent CT and Xrays. This would have cost close to $1000 for just the initial visit. Between the two of the Doctors, it would have been over $1500+. We stopped at $285 with Dr. Schwartzman.

This was a complete RIP OFF. To be tossed around from one doctor to another without getting a proper comprehensive treatment plan, timelines and costs is absolutely ridiculous . We paid a total of $835 for NOTHING. NOTHING. NOTHING. This is highly unethical and I regret coming here. I plan to file several complaints to prevent this from happening to others.

Wow!! The most wonderful doctor ever!! He's kind, competent, smart and professional! After meeting with him you can feel you're in good/safe hands. He gave my mom's smile back! The surgery went perfect and (after 1week) she looks -almost- fully recovered which I attribute to Dr Kupferman's talent, quality and precision as a surgeon. He's a blessing and will change your life in the most positive way imaginable! Ruth, Cristina, Carmen and the anesthesiologist were amazing too! Ruth especially helped us decide to move forward with the (over-due and medically necessary) procedure. We are forever grateful for her (and everyones) kindness, authenticity, support and guidance. The stars aligned (ie. surgeon, team, time and place) and NOW looking forward to smiling, laughing and eating without hesitation or insecurities! So....simply put: we have our life back!!!! 🥳

Dr. Kupferman and all the staff at LACOMS are so great! I have been a patient for His office since 2016 and ever since I have trusted him. He is very professional and very reachable, always willing to explain everything and answer all my questions. Doctor called me himself a day after surgery to check how I was doing. Ruth and Katie were very helpful with me after my recent surgery. I definetly recomend Doctor Kupferman as I’m very please with the service and overal customer services.

I had an implant, bone graft and sinus lift (prior to being recommended to Dr. Kupferman) that was causing me terrible pain for many months afterwards. Every dental specialist I went to told me there was no problem. I was finally recommended to Dr. Kupferman, and in less than 5 seconds he correctly diagnosed my problem. He is a brilliant oral surgeon and his level of skill is exceptional. He is so genuine and caring, and has an excellent bedside manner. I trust him implicitly and highly recommend him. Thanks to him I had a very positive outcome, and I wish I’d been referred to him years ago!

Impeccable Surgeon, Incredible Staff!!
I am so grateful I found Dr. Kupferman. I luckily found him last April after a periodontist left me with 8 weeks of numbness following a bone graft procedure. A month later I needed an emergency extraction and implant on another tooth and I was beyond terrified.
However, Dr. Kupferman is a Rock Star and calmed all my fears.
I was blown away by his hospital grade surgical suite, his skill and his gentle bedside manner. I have had many extractions but this was my first implant and it could not have gone smoother. Barely any swelling or pain.
Also a huge shout out to Ruth who squeezed me in as an emergency and who has been available for the last several months for any and all follow up questions.
I just relocated to the East Coast but plan to fly back to LA for two more implants that are needed... Not enough great adjectives for Dr. Kupferman and LA COMS!!

I could not be happier with my experience at Lacoms. Ruth was so accommodating, helpful and kind. As were Dr’s assistants (particularly Portia). Dr Kupferman was friendly, down to earth and looks out for his patients’ best interests. Besides that, he is the most skilled and wonderful oral surgeon!! I’m so happy that I found this place after consulting with many other surgeons. Thank you LACOMS.
