I had a wonderful experience at the University Oral Surgery Center. They made my experience of wisdom teeth surgery absolutely stress free. Dr. Shabtaie is incredibly skilled at what he does. I had very minimal swelling and almost no pain in the days to follow. His expertise is undeniable. The nursing staff provided incredible attention and service not only to me but also to my husband who accompanied me for the procedure. I am so grateful for the service I received here and recommend it to anyone needing similar procedures. 5/5 stars!

The staff is extremely nice and understanding of anxious patients. The doctor was also very calm and reassuring in the process of all 4 wisdom teeth being extracted. The procedure went smoothly with no complications and I was treated with much care by everyone. If anyone has bad history with dental work and is nervous for a such an intimate surgery, this is the place to go.
The healing process was rather rapid for me. The pain was minimal after the days following the surgery. Swelling was done in 4 days. The whole experience was a positive one and I have this office to thank.

I wanted to share my exemplary experience with Dr. Shabtai's office given that I came in to extract one tooth, and ended up departing with three. I hadn't done extractions since I was a teenager, and being 39, my point of reference was rather moot. I had two tangibly damaged teeth, and an additional wisdom tooth that ended up as collateral 'damage'. From start to finish, the guidance and information his team provided was clear and to the point. I am grateful for Dr. Shabtai's suggestion to take care of multiple teeth at the same time as opposed to returning multiple times, and going through multiple recovery periods. The procedure itself (about an hour long) was truly as pain and discomfort free as possible - I barely felt anything, and was solely under local anesthetics. My recovery following the procedure was easily manageable with over-the-counter medication (ibuprofen), despite having received a narcotics prescription as well which I had no need for. Overall, I could not be more satisfied with the experience, and wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone looking to extract teeth. I come from a family with multiple physicians, and do not leave glowing reviews lightly! Best of luck.

I had a wisdom tooth extraction from Dr. Shabtaie two weeks ago. I wasn't planning on taking any of them out (I had all four) because they didn't bother me but most recently, I had on-again-off-again pain on one of the four wisdom teeth. I went to check it out and the closest orthodontist office was University Oral Surgery Center. Off the bat, they were able to schedule me the following day for a consult session. There were many forms to fill out prior the appointment but it was straightforward and the front desk team kindly explained what each form was for. From the first consult appointment to the final wisdom teeth extraction, both the oral surgeon and the front desk team was helpful and explained the step by step process and what to expect while my wounds were healing. After the extraction, they provided a lot of sterile gauze and an ice pack--both of which helped tremendously. The after-care instructions from Veronica was really detailed and it was a lot of info to take in but they provide a routine care sheet (they also send it to you via email).
The medication was also provided almost one hour after the surgery, which is quicker than I expected. (The pharmacy is only a 10 minute walk from the dental office)
They also scheduled me in for a follow up appointment, which was very quick. I did have concerns about my wisdom teeth because I was still having lots of jaw pain from the procedure but Dr. Shabtaie reassured me that the healing process was going well. They provided me another tool, a syringe to clean out the wisdom teeth wound holes. Overall, would recommend the oral surgery center, they were quick, straightforward, and thorough--which is all I could ask for when extracting my wisdom teeth! (: Thank you!

UPDATE: It just keeps getting better! My insurance was making a huge fuss about doing their part, but Dr. Shabtaie and Staff made sure they did not weasel out of their responsibility. After a couple of months of back and forth between the insurance and the office, everything's resolved, and a weight has been lifted. What a great customer experience! Definitely coming back here if the need ever arises.

I went from calling to getting 4 wisdom teeth extracted in less than 24 hours. The doc and the waitstaff are pros. Everyone's real nice, welcoming and reassuring. The procedure took around 20 minutes, was smooth and painless. My fillings were more inconvenient to get at another dentist, which is something I really didn't expect.
I even got both verbal and printed instructions, and the office is eager to provide help and clarification over the phone after the surgery.
Absolutely recommended - this is how it's done!

Had an exceptional experience with Dr. Shabtaie for the removal of 4 wisdom teeth, 2 of which were impacted. His staff were all very welcoming and helpful when it came to providing information about the recovery process. Dr. Shabtaie did a stellar and incredibly professional job - after getting my procedure done on a Friday, I was able to get back to work by Monday with minimal pain. Dr. Shabtaie and his team ensure you have everything you need for the recovery including an ice pack that they provide on the day of and other oral care materials. Would highly recommend Dr. Shabtaie for anyone who needs to get their wisdom teeth removed.

10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an experienced doctor you can trust. I had all 4 wisdom teeth and I was SO terrified of anesthesia as it was my first time. But as soon as I sat in the chair, I was comforted by the lovely doctor, Dr. Shabtaie, and Veronica, the surgical assistant, asking me how I’m doing multiple times up until the anesthesia worked and the next thing I remember was waking up. The procedure felt quick and easy. When I got home, I didn’t even feel as though I had a procedure that day and I had 0 pain (didn’t even take a Tylenol). I iced my face for 48 hours following procedure and had little to no swelling. I just went to my follow up appointment today and everything is healing well. If you’re terrified of anesthesia and want a doctor who has done this procedure countless times, this office is for you. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Not to mention the entire staff are nice, calming and attentive. Natalie at the front desk is super responsive to even the tiniest of questions and always so reassuring. I would recommend this doctor to anyone!
