I’ve been going to Toluca Lake Dental for about 5 years now.

Dental care: 5/5
A few of the dentists I saw near the beginning I had mixed experiences. But the dentist I’ve seen the longest and who currently treats me is Dr. Dabirian, who is wonderful! He is very friendly, non judgmental, explains options in a clear way and works with you to find the best one. And dental assistant Ivy is also wonderful and does a great job!

Office: 4/5
The office environment is nice, clean, and inviting. They took amazing precautions when COVID hit to protect staff and patients. Parking is a paid lot, but I’ve been usually lucky in finding free street parking.

Reception: 4/5
Most of my reception interactions have been with Linda, who is very sweet. Sometimes she can be a bit scattered. She is very well-meaning though.

Making Appointments: 2/5
My only big complaint about this office is their appointment system. They have limited hours MWF only, which is mildly inconvenient, but I’ve always been able to get care when I need. I used to come every 6 months, and they would not let me book a next appointment at the end of a visit, which never made sense to me. They would ask me to call them back in a month which was VERY inconvenient. I often would forget, call, get their voicemail, leave a message that was never answered, and then have to follow up multiple times before being able to successfully make an appointment. Not a very efficient process. Also, I think I’ve only had one or two appointments that haven’t been rescheduled the month before. So something is off with their appointment system. I will say though, at my most recent appointment, I was booked for my next while still in the dentist chair. So it seems like they’re improving on this.

Overall:
Dr. Dabirian delivers excellent dental care at Toluca Lake Dental. If you are patient and flexible with the scheduling part, everything else is a great experience and highly recommended.

Switched to Dr. Dabirian a few months ago because my insurance changed and glad I did! He and the staff are very friendly and love the work they have done so far. Feel very safe going there even with all the Covid precautions. If you are looking for a new dentist look no more!

I totally recommend this office! I’ve been here twice and both times have been quite the experience. Everyone is welcoming, helpful and friendly. Employees take the time to thoroughly and carefully explain EVERYTHING. They make sure to ask and answer questions. Not only do Ivy, Lindy, Dr. Dabirian and Dr. Bieber take the time to make you feel comfortable as a patient but also personally. Their treatments are always for the long term, which I absolutely love. Oh and Ivy is my fave, she’s great! She’s got great jokes too.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Canceled sending my referrals out and never told me. And refused to work on me even thou they take my Insurence.

They previously told me to schedule a deep cleaning and that they would be sending me a referral to speak to root canal specialist. So I made the root canal appointment, took the day off work however I couldn't get work done because without telling me Linda canceled it! I finally got a hold of Linda and she tells me they're not scheduling my cleaning or root canal until I come in for the consultation even though we had discussed all this at a previous appointment. She claimed it was because mouths can change in two months and they want to make sure I still need those procedures.

Well I show up 4 weeks later for consultation and am told they won't be doing any of the work including the deep cleaning but NEVER looked at my mouth. Said it's because I need my entire mouth redone and she isn't comfortable working on other dentist work The dentist said she would give me the root canal referral but when I called Linda refused! Apparently she makes all the decisions.

My question to them isn't why they wouldn't do any work on me but why would you make me wait 4 weeks to tell me, I can only change dentist office on the 1st of the month. They have literally put other areas of my life on hold. Months of only chewing on one side, to now start all over. To refuse to give me a refferal to fix a painful tooth because I should redo my entire bite is crazy. I'm sorry but that's not realistic for everyone. Linda the receptionist was just horrible to communicate with.

Also said my new bridge would be 8,000 and rudely assumed I couldn't pay that and to get get work done by dental students. I️ got a new one for 1,600 using a dentist who is out of network. Such a waste of my time and paying for dental Insurence. Only open 3 days a week, with limited hours.

I've been seeing Dr. Debirion for about a year now and find his services to be professional and of the highest quality 👌. The staff is wonderful and pleasant from the moment you are greeted. All covid protocol is followed thoroughly , and all the rooms are immaculate. Great job!

Dr. Dabirian has been working on my teeth for the past few years and I have been ecstatic about the level of service. I would recommend anyone looking for a new dentist give him and the office a visit.
