My wife and I went to Oroville for a new procedure that they started offering (Histotripsy). We were in the area for 5 days and spent time at the hospital for 3 of those days. Every step of the way we were well taken care of. The hospital administration team helped to coordinate our travel between the hotel & the hospital, their shuttle drivers were always kind, courteous, and drove carefully!
The intake team were knowledgeable and quick.
The nurses before the procedure were incredibly kind!
The anesthesiologists were wonderful!
The doctors took great care of my wife!
The nurses after anesthesia continued to take wonderful care to manage any post-procedure pain!
The nurses that helped my wife recover so we could go back to the hotel also were attentive and helped manage any after affects like nausea.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this facility! We won't hesitate to go back if we ever need to!

After my husband going back and forth, repeatedly, on a monthly basis... for 2 weeks at a time. Where, one of those times he was exposed to something and put into ICU for a week, where I could not visit him at all. His 'primary, and, big-time, his lung doctor (for which there is only one) would not give the go for us to do the hospice thing. Pretty much, the lung doctor wrote him off and kicked him to the curb when he asked if my husband was still smoking and was informed that he was. However, that he went from over 2 packs a day to 3 cigarettes, at most, a day. The last trip to the hospital, by ambulance, once again... turned into 2 weeks. I received a call from an emergency room doctor, whom I wished, so much, was his primary doctor and he put me on three-way, so I could hear my hubby. And vice versa. He told me I could finally pick up my husband the next morning and that we can go forward with hospice. Then, next thing I heard was my hubby in the background yelling (as best he could), "I'm coming home baby!". I was more than grateful, for my husband, in noway, wanted to pass away in a hospital. He, and me, wanted him to be at home, with me by his side, showering him with love every second of every day throughout the journey he would be facing with hospice easing his pain along the way, until he passed on. The next morning I received a phone call and was told I should get to the hospital asap for my husband took a turn for the worst overnight. I flew out of the house. Ignored any and all speed limits and arrived at the hospital where they stopped me and told me I could not see him until I take a covid test, which I would have to sit in waiting room for 15 minutes and if it's ok then I can go see him. With that, I began walking. I believe a finger shot up in the air and, along with a curse word and an "I dare you to try to stop me". I reached the ICU and there was the doctor. He had a look, which said it all. My husband passed away. I missed him by 4 minutes. Thanks to the hold up at the entrance of the hospital. The doctor said that he thought I should know that my husband asked him to please let him be able to make it til my birthday, which was just two more weeks. As for diving into what exactly it was that made things take such a sudden turn overnight, along with the wrong doings he was exposed too. The neglect of being checked on daily by the lung doctor. Oh sure, it was documented he did s, on paper. So to get more money for himself and/or the hospital from the insurance. Which, I'm not shocked they just recently got sued for just that. My husband paid the price. As well as myself. Not just for losing the love of my life. But for then experiencing what they did to my husband, to me. Let's just say, at the time when my daughter removed me from Oroville to bring me to the bay area in order to begin seeing doctors down here, Oroville doctors had me taking 22 pills a day. And a heart doctor was shocked when he saw I was taking 3 medications that I should never have been on while on a heart med I was taking. I, cold turkey, stopped all meds. Didn't ask for any record's of mine be sent to the new docs. Although, when the doc down here heard that Oroville hospital had put 6 rubber bands in my stomach. His jaw dropped and he said they no longer are to do that. And he showed me a medical sight where that's due to 18 out of 27 patients die from such. No longer are hospitals are to perform such. It is to be done somewhere, such as Davis, for it involves blowing up a balloon in the vein. Not rubber bands. For, if they burst, most likely they won't be able to stop the bleeding. Not only should that hospital be closed down. But, 99 percent of the doctors, who claim to treat patients, should be stripped of their license to even work as a clerk in the medical field.

If I could put 0 stars I would. It's stupid,my first nurse didn't give a shit about me, every 6 hours she would come In and look at me and walk out, asked for a straw and it took them 7 hours to get one, my night nurse was wonderful. I have been here for 2 days and haven't seen a doctor once.

What do you call a hospital without a doctor? A nurses station cause apparently that's all that is here is nurses, I don't believe doctors here exisit. The most unprofessional and rudest and uncaring hospital I have been to

If it were possible I would give this horrible, horrible hospital 0 stars.

My mom was in there for double pneumonia and to make a long story short all they were giving her mild antibiotics .
No breathing treatments until I had to scream at the nurse and doctor to get the treatments ordered
No fever reducers for her ongoing fevers (and they were so high she was hallucinating)
No mucinex or expectorants for the THICK STUCK mucus in her lungs
Then they wanted to discharge her when she could BARELY even stand up or breathe

I had to come in every morning and do the CNA’s job . My mom had a commode filled with urine and feces overnight right next to her bed while she slept into the next day and I had to constantly empty it MYSELF

i had to basically beg everyone to do their jobs
So upsetting

I wanted to leave to enloe but we would have to restart all tests and could be turned away home with just antibiotics .we were stuck in that nightmare of a hospital . It took my mom SO much longer to get better than any time I’ve ever seen her in another hospital

Yesterday I had a procedure done at Orville Hospital and all I can say is I had the BEST team and experience . Everyone was so nice and attentive especially Maria Guadiana the nurse. She and everyone else took amazing care for me, made sure I was okay and comfortable. Thank you to Dr. Nagubandi for the amazing job! Grateful I got to go home same day with minimal pain just discomfort. I had the same amazing experience back in June when I had a previous surgery with Dr. Konovalova. She did such a great job with my surgery and the nurses , CNA’s I had took very well care and again very attentive! Even had a CNA write me a sweet note as motivation. I know Oroville Hospital to most people has a bad name but for me they have always been amazing! Very thankful and grateful 🥹 I wanna say thank you to both teams at each procedure ! ❤️

The medical staff is great, however when calling the hospital, it is hit or miss (mainly miss) to get anyone to answer the phone! In the rare instance that they do, if you ask for the business office, they don’t answer their phone either or return calls from messages left. I have left 4-5 messages, gotten no callback. I keep getting text messaessaying I ave a balance but on the website it always shows zero!!

I have used this hospital for many needs including emergency, primary care, and multiple specialty services. I have had great experiences with all. The nurses and doctors have been very knowledgeable and compassionate!

My friend was bleeding out of her Incision from a procedure she got AT this hospital and they made her wait 5 hours only for her to leave in frustration because they weren’t showing any sign she’d be seen even remotely soon. This place is poorly run if u can’t see a patient who is bleeding out immediately or at least within a reasonable amount of time.
