Unprofessional, unethical, greedy, and rude. They will try to take as much money out of you. It shouldnā€™t be a surprise that most dentists try to overtreat you so they can charge you or your insurance more, and Comfort Dental is not an exception. I got a referral for this office to get a molar extraction due to a failed root canal that caused a painful infection. The doctor, Dr. Shah, refused to do the extraction and stated he would only do a root canal treatment because my molar tooth could still be ā€œsavedā€. That if I wanted an extraction, I should go somewhere else. Of course, root canal treatments are way more expensive than extractions, so this was just a lucrative move.

Out of lack of options and my infection getting worse, I accepted. Dr. Shah explained that the process was simply drilling through the crown of my molar and clean it. He guaranteed that it would work. Thatā€™s it. He never explained that this would required multiple visits, time (to get approved by the insurance each time), and the possibility of this not working. After 4 visits spanning a few months, the infection just kept getting worse. He kept treating the root canal, leaving me with a lot of discomfort. He wouldnā€™t even take the time to explain anything to me. He would just schedule the next visit. I felt like I needed to force information out of him and his assistant. He seems friendly but is extremely condescending and mocks your concerns with ā€œjokesā€.

I got tired eventually and argued that why I am having so much treatment that isnā€™t working. He said that root canal treatments donā€™t always work and that the only thing left to do was to keep coming back, clean the tooth, and wait. His argument was completely different than before. I felt cheated and scammed. I angrily asked for an extraction and he accepted this time, lying that ā€œthat was always an option and my decisionā€. Scammer.

The extraction finally got rid of my infection. Couldā€™ve saved time and money if he never refused to begin with. The extraction itself was another problem. He didnā€™t used enough anesthesia (or whatever numbing agent theyā€™re supposed to use) and I was feeling the full pain of the extraction at first. Had to be visible in pain for him to ask me if I needed more anesthesia. I assumed he just wanted to save money at my expense. He mustā€™ve forgot how to do extractions because he broke off pieces of the adjacent teeth.

He looks very old, so maybe thatā€™s a factor for his lack of motor control with his hands. He also always assumed I spoke Spanish and talked to me in Spanish even though I stated that my preferred language is Englishā€¦ (discriminating much?) He would also sometimes drop his tools on my chest while treating my tooth, which was uncomfortable. The tools werenā€™t necessarily light in weight. He would also waste my time talking to his assistant, testing her with ā€œwhat is this tool called?ā€ Or ā€œwhy am I doing this to the patient?ā€ Kind of talk. I get that training is important for the job but not at the expense of the patients and their timeā€”He would stop mid-procedure and I almost choked more than once because of that.

Never coming back to this place. The front desk person, ā€œMikeā€ was also rude in person and by phone. Sarcastic and condescending. Even heard him mistreat his coworker at the front desk because she forgot to get back to a patient by phone regarding some issue. Iā€™m sure that if I went back Dr. Shah would just try to get me to keep coming back by sabotaging my dental health.

Visited this office for wisdom tooth consultation with -Dr Shahrokh and he is the best! A long side his dental nurse -Araseli, super nice and very welcoming. I was very nervous but they made me feel very comfortable and also if I had any questions or concerns they had no problem answering. I wasnā€™t expecting to get any work done I thought it would be just X-rays and a talk with doctor but I got 1 wisdom tooth removed and it was the fastest/pain-free extraction I've had and Iā€™m glad they were able to help me that same day plus it was very fast! Scheduled for 2 more next month. Definitely would recommend this office and also parking is great

The staff at this establishment is incredibly rude and unprofessional. They refer to their customers as "passions" which is demeaning and disrespectful. Additionally, they make customers wait for extended periods of time without any explanation or apology. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business as a whole. I would not recommend patronizing this establishment due to their lack of courtesy and customer service.

Easy and Painless Wisdom Tooth Extractions! I was so scared and anxious about removing my wisdom teeth. You hear on the Internet that it's super painful and hard to recover from. The Doctors were very nice, very genuine, and spoke to you like a human being, not as dollar signs. They take Medi-Cal and are very caring for your teeth. They explained everything they were doing and made sure you understood the process and were ready. The actual extractions took maybe 20 minutes. I'm so glad I got my wisdom teeth removed by Comfort Dental Center. I am no longer in pain anymore!! They gave me antibiotics and ibuprofen for recovery. I can't wait to completely recover!!

I got 2 wisdom teeth removed and it was the best experience. Iā€™ve always been scared of the dentist lol and Dr Shah and the staff there took great care of me! They answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. Iā€™ve been healing great and there was little to no pain when I got them removed!

I was very nervous to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled but Dr. Shah was very calming and quick with the procedure. Didnā€™t have too much pain during recovery and little to no swelling.

Avoid this place. Started out ok but more and more I'm regretting my decision going there (referred). Waited months to get medical to approve a route canal for my front tooth. Was finally called in to do the procedure and was told that decided to go a different route that medical wouldn't cover and I'd have to come out of pocket $3100. They shaved down a tooth on the side that in order to get that fixed, would be another $1100. Well I left out from there sad and disappointed. My mouth is in worse condition than when I first went to them. I developed an abcess they didn't care to treat and now after a few months I've also lost the side tooth they made weak by shaving down. If I could turn back time, this place would've never put a finger in my mouth.

No confusion on the location. It's on El Segundo and Birch across the street from Taco Bell.
