I had an absolutely great and comfortable experience here yesterday. It felt like the surgery happened very quickly. I was terrified going in to get my wisdom teeth removed. However, all of the staff were very kind and patient with me and I felt as if I had no reason to be scared after getting to know them a little bit. The sedation worked very quickly, and I don’t even remember starting to feel tired. I was out in a few seconds after they gave me the medicine. The needles did not hurt me at all, the doctor was very gentle. They helped me get into The car on the ride home and my prescriptions were sent over

I went for my wisdom teeth removal appointment (all 4) everything went smooth, no pain or anything I would give a 5 star review if I did not have to wait for X rays for about 3 hrs and also 1 hour and a half for my oral surgery but other than that the staff was very attentive even front desk were always nice and responsive to my questions. Dr. Podstreleny called me later at night to see how everything was going and I really appreciate that. I would recommend them.

Overall had a great experience with my procedure.

Melissa (nurse?) was amazingly fantastic and her presence, casual conversation and vibes quickly put me at ease (we talked about her puppy, our kids. And she even advocated that my husband stop by and get me a frosty on the way to the pharmacy - score!) the other nurse/s I interacted with were also kind and pleasant as were the front desk staff both in person and over the phone. Dr.P was efficient and called in the evening to follow up with my pain levels and food/drink intake (what a nice touch).

My issue was that I checked in the morning for my procedure (wisdom teeth removal) on time and wasn't taken back to a room until 1.5 hours after my appointment time (thankfully room had TV and remote so I could watch what I wanted) and then Dr.P and a nurse came back on an hour later (so 2.5 hours after my appointment time) and about 30-45 minutes later I was out the door and headed to get my RX.

I wish I had been given an accurate time breakdown (because on the phone I was told I would be in and out within 2 hours of my appointment -- it ended up being 4+) I would have sent my husband and daughter home rather than them hanging out on the car and a local grocery for hours and hours. (We don't live too far and the office will call your driver 15 minutes prior to pickup needed).

Also the pre-authorization time was much longer than anticipated, they said it would probably be 2 maybe 3 weeks from my consultation date but it ended up being closer to 3 months (from consultation to surgery)

Overall the surgery went well, the nurses, front desk staff and surgeon were pleasant and I didn't have any pain during my surgery (just a pinch from the needle for the medication to induce sleep).

I'd I were to recommend the office to someone else I would definitely say be prepared to wait and on surgery day get dropped off or take an Uber and have your driver stay close or go home (both Balboa Park and the SD Zoo are close)

Also heads up they take your bag/purse and put it in a cabinet not inside your room so I wouldn't take anything in with you other than maybe your phone, earbuds (if you want to listen to your own thing in the waiting room) and your ID or payment card (if you're picking up your RX on the way home) basically just the few small things that fit in your pocket ... Lastly bring a jacket or sweater (regardless of season) because the treatment room is a little chilly.

I had a great experience. Mari was very helpful and respectful. She explained everything very well. The staff and Doctor were very nice and took care of my wisdom teeth! The doctor even called to check up on me later that same evening. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thank you

I was nervous at first when reading reviews, but the workers there were so nice. Especially the front desk helping me with my issue and got me an early appointment asap. I'm very grateful for the care and confront making my anxiety go away before my wisdom teeth extraction. The procedure went extremely fast, I didn't even realize I was already in the car heading home. Currently healing and it's going well. They prescribe medications that needed. Also it's nice to know the doctor would call to do a quick check on my personal care. I'm very grateful for their help. Thank you so much.

This place is awful! The staff were very rude and were rushing. Had surgery for impacted wisdom teeth. the staff sent me home still completely under anesthesia, husband witnessed them drop me from the wheelchair. three staff members attempted to lift me up at 200 lb and shove me into my car. They suffocated me with rubbing alcohol my body was paralyzed to respond but I could hear what they were saying in my head. They left the rubbing alcohol over my face for 60 seconds I felt it fell into my lungs but I was so aesthetic I could not pull away, attempting to wake me up as they were closing and needed me to exit asap. Had two black eyes as well as chunks of skin missing off my neck, arms scalp and collar bone apparently in attempt to wake me up. Do not go here! 3 months later found out they over stitched my mouth and stitched my cheek to my gum. The most terrifying experience of my life. Still having severe pain.

I had a great experience at this location, they have great communication of how the process is. I didn’t wait much on either of my appointments the personal was really friendly. I had my four wisdom tooth out.It looks that the recovery process is going good and the staff call me to do a follow up.

Friendly efficient staff and doctor.
Be prepared as a patient to wait a couple hours in The lobby. Then one more hour in the procedure room. Bring long sleeve clothes/ light blanket because it is very cold. surgery is quick. Wheelchair exit pickup after procedure is at rear of the building.
