I'm not sure how they had 5 stars. I went on a regular basis for 2 years, and I would never go back, and I know 6 people who have said the same. They are rough in a cleaning, and you will be sore for weeks.
They are so brutally disparaging, I wanted to kill myself. I literally cried in the chair they made me feel so horrific. I have never voluntarily let someone speak to me like this... if someone spoke like this to my children, there would be physical abuse.
When I moved to Decatur, everyone said they were the best, so I kept going--much to my detriment. My teeth aren't the best, but they aren't the worst (never had a cavity, braces, gum disease or any problems)... I just don't floss near as much as I should. According to these people, I should floss about 18 times per day, and there's no purpose in seeing a dentist for a cleaning if you don't. I always bled (which I had never done before), and I was always sore for 2-3 weeks after each cleaning (I had never been sore after a cleaning).
I would NEVER recommend these people, and after 2 years, I have an idea of what I'm talking about.

I would like to give out a shout to Shout out to Smart Mouth Dental in Decatur Tx. We have been looking for a dentist for awhile and have finally found one that was in our network. My husband went last week and was so impressed with the quality of Dr. Wilson and his wonderful staff! Very friendly and professional and their quality of service. I have now made an appointment as well . If you are looking for a dentist look no more and I highly recommend Dr. Wilson at Smart Mouth Decatur Tx

Dr Wilson is the best!!! When I first saw him, it had been a while since I’d been to a dentist. He took me in and never made me feel bad about my mouth! He is the only dentist I’ve ever had to call me after a procedure to see how everything is going! He goes above and beyond job. He actually cares about each and every one of his patients! His staff are always welcoming and friendly! I recommend to all my family and friends that live anywhere near there!!

Went in yesterday for a root canal and Dr. Wilson did an amazing job! No discomfort what so ever during the procedure. Rosie is excellent at what she does, takes her time, explains and genuinely cares. I love getting my teeth cleaned by her! Super thankful for such an awesome dentist- the staff and the environment make a huge difference. Highly recommend. Especially for littles.

Great experience for my 6 & 7 yr old! I took them in for a cleaning and was overly happy when they both walked out with a smile on their face thanks to the wonderful staff. We had to return to take care of a cavity which they originally anticipated as needing a crown for each one but luckily after closer exam & cleaning only ended up needing a filling instead. To have a dentist/doctor that honestly cares enough to do only what is needed instead of excessive work just to up charge was great. Plus there was never a question of whether or not I could remain in the room which was a comfort to both me & my girls! We will happily be returning to see them for our next cleaning!

Have always had a good dental visit at Smartmouth. The staff are professional and the waiting room and procedure rooms are kept well clean and professional for the space. They keep the pain low as well I have never had a complaint. I will always be looking no matter where I am to go to Smartmouth Family Dental first before anywhere else! They have good referrals for specialty Oral Surgeons or Orthodontists as well.
