Dr Van Slate is an excellent dentist. Just had my first appointment today and it was refreshing to hear that my teeth are in great shape. (I've had dentists in the past who like to crown everything.)

Dr Van Slate is extremely thorough, and I found his equipment to be state-of-the-art. He ran tests that I have never had before.

He spent almost a full hour with me today (not just assistant) and he gave me excellent feedback. He took his time asking questions about my dental health.

Also, his staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

I would recommend anyone to Dr. Van Slate.

For me, the location, building, and the office are perfect. Lovely neighborhood and side street, plenty of parking, surrounded by greenery, well kept facility, calming office decor, spectacularly clean and neat, and filled with high technology. Filled also with wonderful people who seemed happy to be there, confident in their professional skills and yet very personable and genuinely caring. Dr Van Slate seemed kind, professional and competent. In addition, he was positively friendly and engaging. His exam was extremely detailed and surprisingly informative. I was surprised at how much time he spent on the exam but did not once feel rushed. An extraction, and 1st quadrant deep cleaning were done pain free. I was certainly aware that my teeth were being deeply and thoroughly worked on, but I was able to rest comfortably through it all. I am so much better in one week, and am actually looking forward to next quadrant cleaning. Thankful to have found this dentist and his exceptional practice.

Dr. Van Slate is very helpful and professional. First, we were in the area of his office several weeks ago, so we stopped by to make an appointment. He actually took a few minutes to speak to us about our son's problems with his jaw and gave us some free advice. We then scheduled an appointment and came back several weeks later. Dr. Van Slate not only remembered us, but he remembered what our son's problems were, even though we did not even have a file started yet. He gave a very thorough exam and explained our options. Because we were interested in a type of treatment that he did not do, along with jaw joint treatment that he does do, he referred us to another doctor that does the other treatment as well. And then he didn't even charge us for the scan that he did because he knew the other doctor would have to do another one. Dr. Van Slate is kind and knowledgeable. We appreciate his help and if the other doctor can't do what we need done, we will be going back to Dr. Van Slate for the jaw joint therapy.
