My husband and I switched to this dentist earlier on in the year and at first we really liked it. Everyone seemed nice, it was easy to make appointments and whatnot. We will now be switching again bc they have the WORST billing department I've ever had the displeasure of coming across.

The first incident was when they made a "dental plan" for my husband who has a history of dental issues. They planned out how much each visit would cost and what would be done at each visit. We thought it was great!

Turns out they apparently didn't check with our benefits coverage BEFORE making the plan with $ amounts. We were only made aware when suddenly the benefits were maxed out and he wasn't even half way through the "dental plan" they mapped out. What kind of office DOESN'T EVEN CHECK THE BENEFITS FIRST?! So he had to stop going because the cost was now going to be way more than we planned for.

I kept going to follow my "dental plan", giving them the benefit of the doubt. That plan was absolute bullshit. Almost every time I went there they had me pay before AND after bc they suddenly found something "that they missed before" leaving me with a balance they now needed me to pay.

Not only is their financial department absolutely HORRIBLE after getting a handful of treatment, I now have tooth pain from the fillings I received there. I'd NEVER had any type of tooth pain until going here. One of the fillings resulted in a root canal less than a month after it was placed bc I was in so much pain.

To get the root canal I spent over $1000 for the actual root canal at a different location and then went back to them for the crown. I paid them almost $700 during the process of getting the crown only, also out of pocket. After the crown was placed I asked 3 different times before leaving that office if I will need to pay them any more money and was told "oh no! You're good!"

Fast forward to over a month later and they email a surprise bill for OVER $600! Like $600 is a casual amount of money to throw around. Are you kidding me?! I then called to ask about the bill and was told a supervisor would call me back the next day. Guess what....no call! Surprise! Considering whoever is in charge of their billing is obviously not good at their job.

Unless you have absolutely AMAZING dental coverage or a ton of expendable money....don't go here. They're gonna max out your benefit overcharge you.

Don't go here worst dental office in KC. The office manager is really rude and talks to customers like they are a child. Was in pain dentist didn't want to prescribe more antibiotics to help while trying to cover a high cost bill. It's not right to refuse a customer because they can't afford the services right then and there. Some people don't have the money. So they are refusing to help if you don't have the money. Two teeth to get pulled cost over $500.00. please try and help the people that are coming in to this office it builds relationships and keeps them coming back and have more better professional people to talk to customers if you want the money. This place needs to be shut down and investigated which I will report them. Please don't go here. You won't get help you are better off removing your own teeth or just go the ER to get help. They really need to regulate dental care more better.

This place is a scam. They will find every charge they possibly can to run you out of insurance and then will bill you 3 seperate times for every visit, requiring prepay, moneu on visit and somehow a mailed bill. No matter how much you pay, and how may times you ask you will get a higher bill than what you paid in the mail later, and when you call they will have "missed a charge" EVERY SINGLE TIME. We are discussing our bills with a lawyer and a financial advisor and I would suggest you do the same if you are having trouble with them. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE, EVERY SINGLE OTHER DENTIST IN THE CITY IS. A BETTER OPTION.

Go somewhere else. They’re money hungry. You find out about new fees and treatment prices when you walk in for treatment even if you’ve talked to them consistently. I have come in 3 times and each time there’s a new amount that I have to pay that was not previously discussed.

They cancelled my appointment for a deposit that they asked for SAME DAY. Didn’t even give me a chance to get a break from work to call back before cancelling.

When asking for clarity/help the black girl with the glasses (Amani) is rude and snippy. They swore there was no manager available.

I should have trusted the 3 star reviews they have on here.

Just save yourself the stress and go to another dentist.

This is the nicest dentist office I've ever been to. Their patient care is personal, caring and attentive. I had 4 teeth withdrawals in one day and the doctor was in and out before I even knew what was happening. Pain and numbing meds aren't as effective for me as they should but they made sure I was in no pain during the whole procedure. Their routine care never includes shaming, only education and empathy. This relieves so much of my anxiety about going to the dentist

Waldo Dental Care has done an excellent job with both of my children's teeth. I would like to send a big shout-out to Rachel especially. She is gone far and beyond to help us. She has made it affordable for us and our appointments have been sooner than later. We really appreciate everybody there.

I had so many high expectations about this place after reading the reviews and seeing so many people comment that this was a great dental place. Being new to KC I thought, why not try them. The dental techs are really awesome and they probably were the best I have ever had. They were kind and gentle and took away the anxiety I have about dentist. The doctor was even really sweet and explained everything I needed to know about the procedures I would need. I went into the doctors office 9/23/21 and as I was leaving they said they would call me back to give me a quote on the work I was needing, mind you the reason I went was because I had a cavity that needed a root canal and I was in terrible pain. I called once a week asking if they had gotten my insurance verified, my pain only intensifying, they had my dental cards yet every time I called, the price estimate for my work changed or the lady who was to help me, Sabrina, would get my info again but never actually call me back. After four weeks of doing this, I stopped trying and sought help elsewhere. It is now day 40 and they have finally called me back after “verifying” my insurance. This place although there’s some good, they are terrible. I would never recommend this place. If my insurance had hold dates or waiting periods I would have rather been communicated that instead of continuously getting the run around. No one deserves that especially when I was willing to pay the steep prices out of pocket. Do not waste your time here.

1st time in a dental chair or dental office. I needed #16 extracted, outside of the waiting due to clients attentions, I was beyond satisfied. From the front desk to the dr, everyone was personal and professional. The entire process was explained in detail and my procedure was pain free. Thank you ladies and gentleman for making my first experience very stress free.
