My regular dentist had just quit practice. I had an emergency with an implant and needed help ASAP. Even though I had never been a patient, Dr. Gill's office was able to schedule me a timely appointment and provide me assistance. Staff was friendly, smiling and courteous. Dr. Gill, personable, yet the ultimate professional, went out of his way to give me the details of my situation and how it was to be taken care of. Kudos to Dr. Gill and staff.

I HATE DENTISTS. Have since I was little, I’m 20 now and hate it still. Strong words yes, but considering some of the things a lot of these reviewers are saying and thinking, can’t compare. I’m not going to give my reasoning for why I don’t like dentist, but I did explain it to Gill. Him and his team fully understood how anxious I was just being there for a checkup, and they treated me with more respect then anyone ever has. The guy Taylor that did my cleaning was extremely helpful and friendly, haven’t seen him until today and he made my cleaning actually bearable.

I believe the people that rated this place low are genuinely soft people and can’t take a joke or can’t accept the fact that not bringing a tooth brush is on you. I get your old dentist may give them out with a pretty little toothpaste but… •_•

Anyways, remember to brush your teeth, and actually prepare for your properly placed appointment 🙂
Thank you again to your staff, I’ve had my teeth done here for about 5 years or so and they are great?

Excellent dentist and staff. Dr Gill is amazing. Have been here several successful treatments. I love my new molar crowns and also referred me to Dr Doreen Neri in Lodi for root canals also wonderful. Highly Recommend Dr Gill.

The entire staff has been amazing. I called on Monday to make an appointment thinking I'd be on a long wait list to get in; to my surprise I was in the office Wednesday morning. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't seen a dentist in quite some time. I expressed my fears about seeing the dentist and from the very moment I walked in everyone was so kind. Andi has been so amazing with going over all financial responsibilities, I always know exactly what I'm paying before the work is started. Carla noticed right away how uncomfortable I was during the anesthesia and immediately held my hand to comfort me. As for Dr. Gill, he was amazing. Walked me through everything he was doing and made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could. I had all my work completed this week! After years with fear of the dentist, I will be back for regular visits and cleaning!

Dr. Gill might be a very fine dentist, but I’ll never know because, when I showed up for my first appointment, his staff told me I’d need to sign a compulsory arbitration agreement in order to be seen. I was not told about this until I showed up. This practice, which is becoming more common among dentists but which is increasingly criticized by consumer protection organizations, means that you waive your right to a court trial in the unlikely event of malpractice and submit instead to the unpublished decision of an arbitrator. While this agreement was explained to me by non-attorney staff as “just you agreeing to work with us before going to court”, which would be perfectly reasonable if true, its language was actually far more consequential than that and could well have the effect of preventing me from going to trial even if I did try to work informally with them first. I happen to be a lawyer, and I know what these words mean. I can tell you that I would never sign anything like this when it comes to receiving medical or dental treatment—where a single unfortunate mistake could have huge consequences to my health and well-being. To be fair, a Google search of dental practice arbitration agreements in California revealed that this form is boilerplate—just a standard template passed along from practice to practice (down to the very same citation errors that so many of them repeat). But don’t be fooled: Signing that form could be far more consequential to you than you realize. I walked away and immediately found a highly recommended dentist in a nearby town who only requires the standard financial responsibility and HIPAA forms. Consumer beware.
