This is the FIRST REVIEW I have ever written but I felt compelled to write this one. I had to have two wisdom teeth extracted- one of them was impacted and my cheek was growing over it. It was a difficult extraction and potentially dangerous for me because if i kept chewing on my cheek it could cause cancer cells (from what I was told by my primary dentist). I was nervous because the procedure was tricky and I am of middle age with elevated blood pressure. I scoured over all the reviews of different oral surgeons which left me torn and confused. I am a manager in a high end luxury retailer and have access too many clients from different backgrounds in the area - so I decided to go by word of mouth rather than internet.and all roads kept leading back to Dr. Daneshgar. Two different dentists and three other clients that I trust the most all recommended him and he was on my dental plan so I took it as a sign from above and booked him Roughly two weeks later after a brief consultation I went to Dr. Daneshgar to have them removed. I booked a MORNING appointment (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND) they knocked me out and I was done in under two hours. He called me that night to follow up (WHICH I"VE NEVER HAD A DENTIST DO BEFORE) and here I am seven days later writing this review after my follow up appointment. Obviously dental surgery like all surgeries is not very pleasant and I heard all the horror stories about infections and other teeth being compromised during the procedure and on and on. This is why I decided to make Dr. Daneshgar my first review ever because I had a great experience and everything was flawless . I am now on the list of many people who recommend Dr. Daneshgar. Let me tell you- I was nervous folks so I wanted to share my story with you to make a wise decision and I hope your procedure goes as well as mine did.

A Life-Changing Experience with Dr. Shaun Daneshgar and the Oral Surgery Center

For years, I suffered terribly from TMJ, enduring intense pain that radiated from my jaw to my neck and head, leaving me feeling trapped in my own body. I saw countless doctors and dentists, desperately searching for relief, but nothing seemed to work. Then, due to insurance changes, I was unable to continue seeking the care I needed. But fate had other plans, and I eventually found my way to Dr. Shaun Daneshgar at the Oral Surgery Center on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

From the moment I walked into the center, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Daneshgar and his team performed a thorough digital scan of my jaw, something no other doctor had done, and they created a custom guard specifically for me. The level of care and precision was unlike anything I had ever experienced. But what truly changed my life was the treatment plan he suggested, including targeted injections to relieve my TMJ pain.

I can't even begin to describe the relief. After years of living with pain, I am now finally pain-free. My quality of life has drastically improved—I can eat, speak, and move without the constant ache that had been my daily reality for so long. It’s incredible how much we take our mouths and jaws for granted until something like TMJ makes every movement excruciating. But thanks to Dr. Daneshgar’s commitment to his work, I am able to live my life fully again.

Dr. Daneshgar is not only an incredibly skilled maxillofacial surgeon, board-certified in facial and jaw reconstructive surgery and jaw surgery oral implants, but his bedside manner is exceptional. He genuinely cares about his patients, and it shows in every interaction. His team reflects the same professionalism and dedication, ensuring that every visit to the center is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

If you are suffering from TMJ, grinding your teeth, or dealing with any other jaw-related issues, I cannot recommend Dr. Daneshgar and the Oral Surgery Center enough. They accept most insurance, and their level of care is beyond exceptional. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed. Dr. Daneshgar changed my life, and I am forever grateful.

⚠️ Was severely misdiagnosed by practice. Doctor never looked in my mouth and quoted me $18K for full extractions. The office manager canceled my next appointment claiming they can’t help me (despite having a treatment plan with a dollar figure ‍♀️). The head of the practice who called me randomly on a Sunday from a party said they may have misdiagnosed and to come back in. When I followed up with him directly on this invite, I was ghosted.

These people are simply a factory for the wealthy who want their crowns done and some botox and filler on the same day.

Misdiagnosed and dismissed in fear of their own mistakes I presume, or maybe because the office manager lied in communication that included another doctor in the CC field who respectfully clarified her “error.”

It’s now 2 years later. They wanted to extract all my teeth for $18K. I required only 4 extractions in the end, and all the teeth they wanted to take beyond that are still in my mouth having been fully restored by a team of legitimate and honest dentists and oral surgeons.

If I had the $18K the day they wanted it, they’d have taken all my teeth and left me with dentures at 40. (Not an implant candidate.) They’d have destroyed my quality of life and moved on to the next lip filler appointment.

Next time, please look in the patients mouth before the Tx.

As you’ll see I don’t write a lot of reviews.

All I can say is Dr. Shaun Daneshar is amazing!

I’ve been to many oral surgeons and dentists in my lifetime.

But just like all the reviews I read on line I see why hes 4.9
He’s kind he’s caring he listens to you he spends the time.
I’m just very grateful I had the opportunity to go to see him, - And he’s taking me on as a patient.

But it doesn’t stop there whenever you go to a doctor or a business when you take a look at the staff and the way they treat you as my mother says the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

He has an exceptional team around him.

I’m again very grateful with all his suggestions and time that he took with me.

Even though my vanity can’t handle it I will be taking the before and after photos- trust me it’s extensive work he needs to do.

And unfortunately it started with cancer many years ago. I never thought it would affect your teeth.

Hey if you’re a person like me that’s very skeptical don’t take my word when you see the type of work he does and the way he cares I’m sure you’ll be singing his praises - look the many excellent reviews this doctor has.

We received the best dental care ever received at a dentist. Dr. Kahenasa was so caring & attentive, answering all our questions for post wisdom teeth removal care. She even reached out in the evening to check on our son & gave more aftercare advice. Great service. And the staff from reception to assistant were wonderful. Thank you.

Simply the best and extraordinary . I have been in many well-known oral surgeons around San Fransico with bad experience for my wife's issue and did not receive any resolve with all the expenses. Thank God I was referred by a friend who has a dental clinic to go there. I am thrilled.
