Avoid this office! I have had multiple bad experiences with this office around billing practices, "necessary" procedures, and not even seeing the dentist for over a year. I was a patient for several years just due to the difficulty in finding a new dentist but regret staying with them.

- There was a period where i didn't even see the dentist for three cleanings in a row meaning it was over a year since I was given the opportunity to talk to any dentist

- Communication is awful. They told me that I needed a filling and scheduled an appointment. It wasn't until I asked them for more details that they revealed the procedure wasn't actually necessary. Several times, they've also said that they would call to follow up with me but they've never actually followed up.

- Billing practices here are untrustworthy, they add additional fees for PPE (D1999 - $15) for every visit. I got a new retainer here and stopped by the office for 2 minutes to pick it up and they charged me for an entire office visit.

I absolutely love this practice. Beverly is so sweet and efficient at her job, the entire staff is! For context, I came to the practice in early December last year to get my dream smile in time for my wedding in May 2025. From the get go, they understood the urgency and sympathized with my concerns! I am seeing Dr. Naicker for my invisalign and bonding, he is great to work! I wish my mouth didn't have to be open so I could continue to chat with their team because they make the experience awesome. Confused why there are any negative reviews because my experience has been 11/10 each time.

I had a dental emergency and Dr. Levi was available and diagnosed and repaired it immediately and I have been an ongoing very happy patient since then. Just completing Invisalign treatment too. Dr. Levi and her staff are very knowledgeable and also so very helpful. I highly recommend Dr.Levi’s practice.

Avoid the frustration — believe the negative reviews here and on Yelp. While the staff is friendly, the billing practices are deceptive.

I visited California Dental Innovations for a routine cleaning as a new patient, making it clear I only wanted services covered by insurance. Instead, I was hit with unexpected charges:

Full set of X-rays (D0210 - $144) – They didn’t check that I had these done last year.
2D oral scans (D0350 - $69)
Fluoride treatment (D1206 - $19) – Never had this before thought it was just part of their process.
PPE fee (D1999 - $15) – Charged for the equipment they used during my visit. Absurd!

I've never been charged for these at any other dentist. My "routine cleaning" ended up costing me $247 out of pocket.

They scheduled me for a deep cleaning next week, but after this experience, I called to cancel and won't be returning.

If you still choose to go here, read the Patient Intake Forms carefully. I was rushing from a work meeting and missed key details — though I did catch and decline the cancer screening fee (D0431 - $69).

When I questioned the charges, Beverly at the front desk said they "don’t let insurance dictate their care plan." Proper care means transparency — patients should decide, not be blindsided with hidden fees.

Find a dentist who values patients over profits. Otherwise, demand an itemized treatment plan before and after your visit.

The team and I reached a resolution, and they’ve stated they will prioritize transparency for patients moving forward.

I see others with low ratings had a very similar experience to mine where the front desk, reception and billing has been distrustful, unhelpful and provided misinformation. I visited as a new patient only 1 time and never returned because of the lack of trust. I called twice before my visit to confirm my insurance was in network and a routine annual cleaning would be covered. I was assured by the desk, and the dentist herself that yes, they had checked and my insurance would cover everything except a $28 fluoride treatment. I paid that when exiting my visit. Then a couple weeks later I get a bill for $280 for the cleaning. There seems to be confusion about my bill which I have tried to sort out by calling the office (received reluctance and attitude when asked to try and file my claim again), calling my insurance company, and they still cannot bill it correctly. Extremely unhelpful staff and I've never had such a problem getting a dental cleaning or any dental service covered by my insurance.

I just finished my first cleaning session recently, and I’m very happy with the results. They make a plan for your utmost dental health and give you all the information you need to achieve that goal. Overall, it’s a very sensible dental office that doesn’t feel stuffy, as everyone in the office was very helpful and extremely nice!
