This was my first visit in Visalia to California Retina Consultants. Waiting time was minimal. Every procedure was clearly explained, tests were completed very quickly. I appreciated the way each technician was efficient at their job. Dr. Learned went over my test results with me, explained what was going on with my eyes, made recommendations, and was interested in making sure that any questions I had were answered. Dr. Nathan Steinle and his staff are simply outstanding. Dr. Steinle performed an emergency laser surgery for severe retina tear in my right eye. His professional, calm demeanor coupled with his genuine concern throughout the procedure instilled a great deal of confidence which reduced the tremendous anxiety I was experiencing after finding out that a tear had occurred. The follow-up treatment has been outstanding. Dr. Steinle takes the time to know his patients; he treats each with genuine concern and respect in every interaction. His staff is thorough and accessible.

Had an appointment at 2:30 , I was taken in for initial testing and said I will be called to take pictures. I was seated for 70 mins and wasn’t called, when I went up to the reception to inquire as to what’s going on, the girl at the counter knew all the excuses why I wasn’t call and never bothered to call and find out from the technician what’s going on. The next question was do you want to reschedule.. who wants to spend 1.45 mins at doctors and not seen.. I work at a restaurant and if the food gets late for one hour on a Monday not a Friday I don’t think anyone will like it. Doctors office’s needs to get the act together and respect patients time.. it’s we who pays you guys..
