If you’re looking for a Dentist in the DTLA area, Calm Dental should certainly be an option to consider. Dr. Solooki and his staff have consistently delivered excellent service and over the past 12 years Dr. Solooki has done an excellent job with all my dental needs. Most recently, my daughter had an emergency and the staff was quick to aid us with an emergency visit. I’m really happy with Calm Dental and recommend it to anyone in search of a dentist. They certainly strive towards making all their patients feel welcome.

I have severe dental anxiety. I will cry. I explained that on my phone when I called for a dental energy. They got me in quickly. The whole staff is clam and kind and understand.

I was embarrassed by the state of my teeth. They’re treated me with nothing up care when I cry a lot. They check in many times mid procedure, and make sure I’m not in pain. They are accommodating to sensory needs.

I explained my medical condition, and shared an article with Dr Solooki. It was validating to not just be dismissed.

They explain the complexity of dental insurance.

I feel safe, heard, and cared for here. I would recommend them to anyone.
I’m so happy I’ve found a dentist that makes me feel safe and that I can trust.

It’s nice that they validate in the biltmore. It’s a gorgeous hotel. Nice to have a stroll in.

Calm Dental is a wonderful office! Everyone you talk to is so kind and understanding. Dr Solooki is such an empathetic, methodical doctor. I never feel nervous because he takes the time to understand what he’s doing and lightens the mood with a joke! I highly recommend Calm Dental!

I have been twice for significant work and both experiences were lighthearted and yet professionally managed. The team has a fabulous balance of skills, humor, and caring that goes a long long way for a scaredy-cat like me.
They are super quick yet careful... no upsell whatsoever (are those yelp posts fake reviewers? they have to be!), reasonable prices (they barely increased though the work done was 5 years apart! amaazing!), and a great memory of my sensitivities (I'd told them about a terrible experience at a previous dentist that deeply traumatized me and put me in the hospital on IVs for a full week!!).
I recommend them highly - as trite and banal as that sounds, I really do, it's not just standard review lingo..... Great location, great conversation, and most important, great dentistry.

I’ve been coming here for years and genuinely enjoy going to the dentist. Very attentive to my comfort and anxiety levels. I have never felt like I was being nickel and dimed or sold anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary. I’m a cancer survivor and try not to get too many X-rays. The office is 100% accommodating in limiting my radiation exposure when assessing my teeth. Free parking! Honestly, can’t say anything negative.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Solooki for 10+ years and I genuinely love coming downtown to see him and the team. From the seamless parking (they validate) feels like I’m catching up and seeing an old friend. I came originally because I was not happy with a previous dentist that I felt was doing work just to milk my insurance.
Dr. solooki is transparent with pricing and also lays out what is priority. A few years ago I needed major work done and an implant where I might have needed a bridge, we layed out the risks to doing on option versus another, I understood and knew I was in good hands and to date the area has had zero problems. He’s called outside of business hours to check on pain management which is so nice.
Also went through 2 pregnancies with him and all protocols were followed to the max bcs I was so paranoid about xray exposure. Clean and calm office.
Anyway, great dentist!
