Because of a move to Los Angeles I had to find a new dentist. My mother had been a long time patient of Dr. Lewis and had nothing but positive things to say about the excellent dental care she received over many years. And so with that strong recommendation I made my first appointment.

Most recently I have experienced some unexpected dental issues and I feel fortunate to have found a dentist with whom I feel like I am in exceptionally skilled and thorough hands.

BEWARE! I went to Dr. Lewis on the *hesitant* recommendation of a family friend. I was new to LA and needed a good dentist. I immediately found her manner to be abrupt and off-putting, but stuck it out because I was told by the person who recommended her that, despite her terrible bedside manner, she was a competent dentist. I toughed it out for two visits for cleanings, during which she was consistently rude and offensive. When I finally decided I couldn’t take it any more I found another dentist. After I requested my records be sent to my new dentist, Dr. Lewis filed a claim with my insurance company for a cleaning that had been done 8 months prior, and claimed that the work done was much more involved than a simple cleaning - resulting in a large bill. I now understand why that recommendation was so hesitant.

Basically what Molly O ^ said. Posting for my husband who said her bedside manner was awful, awful, awful. Thankful he has a qualified dentist already and only had to see her due to WC claim which we gather is most likely most of her business since obviously any sane person wouldn't go see her for a cleaning much less any work.
