We have had a good experience at this Children's Dental Center in Rome. After struggling for a long time to find a good pediatric dentist that will take our insurance, it is a relief to have found this office. The dental assistants and dentists have been very kind. I appreciate that they explain everything to my children and let them touch instruments before using them. I was able to go back with my son when I requested that when scheduling the appointment. With multiple children, I have been told I need another adult to stay with the others in the waiting room if I am going to go back since they don't allow siblings back in the private procedure room. That detail is inconvenient, but I am happy to make arrangements so that I can be with my child.

My niece has autism and high anxiety. She has been terrified of the dentist since she was little. Since coming to Children’s Dental Center in Rome she has done a complete turnaround. Our dental hygienist Dana is great! She eased Kennedy into the process. She has had a major impact on how Kennedy feels about going to the dentist. Dr. Kim is also great with Kennedy, very patient and kind. The staff that does x-rays has eased Kennedy into not being afraid of the x-ray machine. I really appreciate all the support we have received from everyone of the staff.

The first few visits were good. The very first visit I was took back with my child and was told I could go back with him but in all actuality I did not want to the next time I was told I could not go back. That was fine. I do not like this Confirming appointment rule because I didn't always get a text or a call from them and when I make an appointment I go to my appointments but they like to tell you your appointment got canceled after you drive and I live in Cedartown because of not confirming. This particular dentist decided to call me 8:00 before my children's appointment at 11:00 to tell me they had people out and I would have to reschedule because I did not confirm after proving to them that I never got a text or a call before that day they said I did but after I prove them wrong they would not apologize and the office manager told me she didn't have to talk to me and hung up on me. Most of these places take Medicaid and they treat you like trash I have Medicaid for a reason not because we don't have money but I won't say why but you still shouldn't be treated like trash and be told 3 hours before your appointment is canceled because of their negligence and then be made to look like it was yours. I would never go back to this place. Dr Padilla is the nicest guy I ever met but his employees are rude.

Time in & out was very good. My child was seen by two or three techs. Had to state no fluoride to each one. The staff was very polite and helpful. Had to laugh, they sent home fluoride toothpaste.

The last dentist I took my kids to was Children's Dentistry of Rome ( with the little red door) they were rude and unprofessional. Please don't mistake this place for them the names are very similar. I had amazing experience with Childrens Dental Centers! My child loved this place. The people were so nice. They took me back for a tour and told me everything they were going to do. After they were done they called me back and went over everything with me. Very professional! Please don't mistake this place with Childrens Dentistry of Rome (with the little red door) I would definitely recommend this place! 5 out of 5

The first time I went i only went there because I was told I could be in the room with my 3 and 7 year old girls. I specifically asked if they allowed parents back because I had no intrest in a dentist that wanted to take my minors back without me. I don't know them and neither do my kids there is no trust established and they are minors they assured me i could go back and that it was no problem. I got there and they told me oh no we don't do that I argued and was about to leave but they made it work and told me to make sure I said over the phone I wanted the room where I could be there. I let it go because they assured me it wouldn't happen again and mistakes can happen. When I made the 6 month check uo appointment I said over the phone over and over I will be going back with them i want the room they are NOT going back without me they assured me I had booked the room where I could go back but when I got there the lady said no we didn't book that room they needed to go back alone....my THREE AND SEVEN year old. I told them over my dead body I was very clear over the phone. She tried to tell me we'll it didn't get booked that room is only for special needa kids and every parent wants to book it. No shit?!?! Maybe take the hint you need to let parents go back! I told her that's not my problem what they booked I made myself EXTREMLY clear over the phone and either you honor my request or I'm leaving now. They somehow figured out how to make it work. She made it seem like it was unreasonable for me to want to be back there with my kids. It is inappropriate to take minor children back to do procedures without their parents also why is this a thing? I could understand a 15+ year old going alone but kids that arent even double digit ages? There plenty of articles of dentists doing this and taking advantage of children either sexually, or doing unnecessary procedures to get more money out of insurance. This happened in rome not to long ago and there are recent articles everywhere of this happening so it happenes a lot. You cannot legally ask or require parents to leave while you work on their minor children. This is a weird practice and after 2 different occasions of this being an arguable problem I am going to another practice ive already found someone else. Even after that argument they went ahead and made another appointment 6 mts out without talking to me and they just handed me a card and guess what...they planned another appointment without me being able to go back. I'm out. I will not be going back. I am not crazy to want to accompany my 3 and 7 year old girls to get procedures done. Nope.

My son is 4 and the dentist came in gave him a shot in his tooth and immediately went to work drilling his tooth, he screamed and writhed in pain the entire time and my concerns fell on deaf ears. When I told them that I had no doubt my child was in pain thier office manager came in and asked me if I'd like to be referred elsewhere since they couldn't convince me that he wasn't in pain. When I go to the dentist, they allow the shot a good 20 min to kick in before starting work. They did not care that he was in pain, only about getting the job done quickly and my opinion did not matter. Do not take your child here if they aren't old enough to advocate for themselves because these people think children don't have feelings and parents are stupid.

Not happy with this office.
Waited for an hour and 45 minutes. No update or explanation. I went to front desk to ask for an update and was told that " they didn't have a room. " "Just busy. "
5 more minutes.

Unprofessional.

Was also told that was only a 10 minute grace period to be late...
