Did a dental exam and decided all my teeth needed to be removed, set up appointment. Arrive at appointment through Uber, cost$40.00. The dentist started numbing my mouth and didn't realize I take Fosmax even though he can read English and it was on my chart at the time of my first exam. I was refused service bc the dentist didn't feel comfortable bc of some BS he came up with and said I have to see an oral surgeon. I said that takes my insurance and he said well I don't think they do but there's a place in St Louis. I'll get the numbers. Then I'm told they will call me, why would call me if they don't take my insurance? So today bc of Compass Dental my husband stayed home to watch our child $28 per hour. $100 in soft food to eat for 7 days, $50 on OTC pain meds and Uber $40. What a moron. I thought they were helpful but they never said I'm sorry, they said nothing. Like idiots in bright lights. I hope they close. They should not be working on patients if something that's a big enough deal you made me leave and refused is missed not once but twice. I'thought I was going to have nice teeth and be proactive but they robbed me. I bet I get a bill for numbing me. GO TO ST
LOUIS. DO NOT GO TO COMPASS IT'S A JOKE. EVEN THEIR THERAPIST SUCK. NOTHING ABOUT COMPASS IS ON THE UP AND UP. MY ADVICE GO ANYWHERE BUT COMPASS IN FESTUS AND AVOID DENTAL AT ALL COMPASS LOCATIONS. Also you will not even get Tylenol 3 for having all you teeth pulled, you are told to take Tylenol. Yeah Tylenol does so much when you have all your teeth pulled out. They don't even have gas to make you comfortable. I don't need the gas but would be a nice option. I hate this place.

My experience at Comtrea has been a very positive one. With their team of Nurse Practitioners, counsellors, psychiatrists, you can be confident you'll get the help you need in trying times. They offer substance abuse programs, counselling, med management, and more. They have connections in the community that help with housing, financial assistance, and they do all this at affordable prices, if not free if you have no income. I've had a comfortable experience here and have gotten the help I need.!

I've been on benzos for my anxiety since 1999 . I lost my medical coverage and was grateful to find a place that could help me, free of charge. I've been going to comtrea for a long time now. But now suddenly , they want everyone off of Benzos. I have no choice in this matter. ( I'd just like to note , I don't sell trade nor do I abuse my medication) The lady I see , I won't give her name. Had her receptionist call me to tell me , I have to see my counselor 3x before I could see her to get any of my medications. My heart stopped. It took 2 yrs for my previous Dr and a lot of patience and care to try , and try again until we got it so my medication was working perfectly for me. I had to start going to the festus location , they destroyed that my first visit. I'm going to find away to send these self righteous prescription writers the Ashton manual, I can't apologize for there ignorance , but this woman abruptly stopped all my medications, so Ill assume she has no formal training in the drugs she prescribes if I seem angry or bitter, well it's because I am. This is not professional behavior.
Side note.
Her reason for doing this in her defense. Is because I was late to many times . But in Comtreas Manual, there are special circumstances that can be overlooked, like me being unable to function as a human being. The withdrawals words can not describe.

Very very very helpful establishment, the government should fund more places like this and the wonderful workers should get a promotion & raise for all the hard work they do helping people. Comtrea really reaches out to the community to help people with mental problems-drug and alchol problems- Abused women and Children and other problems and situations and their services are affordable. They even have medical and dental offices available at affordable rates as well.

I've been trying to have an office visit backdated for 5 months now. Danielle told me to call her as soon as insurance is settled. I have called and left messages 4 or 5 times now. I have received no response from Danielle at all, nor have I received a check in the mail. I don't believe there is any intention to take care of this issue, since like I said it has been months.

Psychiatrist nurse practitioner seems to know nothing. Its sad I brought in the Ashton manual for benzodiazepines and she was amazed. Shouldn't she know this stuff? Fast service and nice assistance though.
