Dental Excellence

I wish I read reviews here before my visit. Cleaning was the worst one in my life, took more than an hour. She was torturing me. I have my cleaning every 6 month and never had this problem. Also when doctor came to see me, his hair was by my mouth ? disgusting I wanted to run… Not talking about that they are lying about prices and just overcharging you and your insurance. Liars…basically. Don’t trust anything what they say. My friend recommended me this place but she didn’t know that she was overcharged too.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Hornsby for many years. He is an excellent professional and we are very pleased with the services he has provided.

Great dentist! But wow if you have questions about your bill all you get is them reading the bill to you. Office manager Mary just lists the work that was done and doesn't help answer any questions. She says they have nothing to do with the amount of the bill, that's all up to your insurance. Not true. They're the ones doing the coding for the bill. When asked if there could have been a coding error, office manager Mary arrogantly says theynever make errors! Wow! Then she admitted they are using the wrong codes ON PURPOSE! They are producing a low estimate on purpose, so you do the work with them and then you're hit with the rest of the charges when the work is done. Do not trust ANY CHARGES from them!!! I used to recommend them. Now I'm telling everyone to run. You will get overcharged by "perfect Mary".

My upper crown came out suddenly late on a Friday morning. No pain, but I it made me very anxious. I was so happy they got me in the following Monday to refit and secure the crown back into place. Their dental office is super clean, modern, efficient, and most of all, kind and generous. Thank you Dr. Hiremath and hygienist Jenny! You saved the day for this out of state travel RN!

I was having tooth pain and thought I needed a root canal, had some trouble with insurance and ended up having to switch from my preferred dental practice to this one. I saw an endodontist who sent a letter to Dental Excellence explaining that I needed a chipped filling repaired. When I had my appointment at DE the dentist I met with looked at my teeth and said "yep, you need a filling. unfortunately I don't do that and will need to schedule you with a different dentist." I couldn't believe it... if you don't do fillings what do you do? So, still in pain, I scheduled yet another appointment. During that appointment the dentist that does fillings had a terrible bedside manner. I was anxious and uncomfortable the whole time (and I don't usually have dental anxiety). After the filling had been cured he was doing the test where you grind your teeth on the film that leaves behind marks so they can shape it to fit with your dentition. Well, it kept rubbing against a top molar that had no fillings and had never needed work. Instead of continuing to file down the new sharp filling that wasn't fitting, this dentist filed down my actual tooth that should not have been touched. Of course my teeth have felt weird ever since and I was way too uncomfortable to say anything. I just got out of there as fast as possible. I would recommend literally any other dentist over this place. What a nightmare.

An exceptional practice, the staff is professional and efficient. My tooth fairy did a fantastic job of cleaning and analyzing my teeth. I also appreciated that he didn't babble on like some other technicians I've endured. And the price is a fraction of what I paid in North Carolina. Highest of recommendations.
