Folks.....avoid....if you can find any other option, that will be in your best interest going forward. I have a negative review from a couple of years ago and was willing to let it go. Today, I was called by a third party, wanting to schedule an appointment....ummmm.... NO WAY....This is why I'm leaving this review. They had a third party reach out to me so I am not the one who brought this up. After my last visit a few years ago, I had to find an ER Dentist a few hours after my visit with Desert Valley Dental (Dr Goodman) when there was NO response from their after hours emergency number and then reflecting on a different appointment with Dr Eberly when I spent $1500 for a crown and he ground away part of my natural teeth to fit the jacked up crown he had made, I will never patronize this facility again. Only reason I am bringing any of this up is that they solicited me today asking for my business once again...NOPE...
Want NOTHING to do with these shysters....

I hate to have to post this review update, but I think it’s important for anyone considering going to this dentist understand my unfortunate experience.

I was a happy patient for years and had no complaints about the work I received until in September of 2020 when I was hospitalized for 9 months and received many major surgeries and nearly died. During this time without my knowledge the dentist charged a nominal “lab fee adjustment”, I was paid in full at the time of service and this amount was very small but not authorized nor known by myself. The dentist proceeded to sell the account to collections WHILE I WAS HOSPITALIZED even though I had been a long time patient in good account standing. When I discharged from the hospital in late 2021 I learned of this and attempted to contact the dentist to discuss the issue but was told that she would not speak with me and that I would have to resolve the matter with the collections agency. I don’t like having to retract a positive review and I am not writing this revision out of spite, only with the hope that it may help prevent what I had to go through from ever happening to anyone else.

Saw her for years. I have a loose tooth and she said leave it alone it will fall out eventually. Saw new dentist today. He showed me all the xrays of that tooth having no bone left and the puss coming out of it. It has now started affecting the two teeth beside it. I'm so grossed out knowing this. The last appointment with her was a cleaning. All of a sudden the price tripled and I questioned it. Her staff forced me to sit down and discuss it. I'm sorry but I didn't want to take a seat. I wanted explanations. Of course it was all my fault! Update January 25th 2024. Went in to my new dentist today and had a deep cleaning on one side only. It took 2 hours, which tells me, her hygienists never did a proper cleaning in all the years I went there. Very disturbing. She should be put out of business. My new denist hygienist was so thorough and used xrays to ensure she got all of it! Goodmans office, I was in and out in 30 to 45 minutes. Worst practice ever!!!

This review is more recent then the other reviews on Google so I'm not sure the name of this female dentist that I recently saw. It might be this Dr. Goodman that there all giving one star reviews two or somebody new but whether it's somebody new or in fact this Dr. Goodman with the one star yelp reviews they are both two peas in a pod. I'm a physician and caught this rather obese female dentist in an outright lie.

I came in and made clear to the staff before making the appointment that a crown popped off when I was flossing and all I want is to have it cemented back on permanently. You'll find with scammer dentists that they will always try to take a $200 bill and turn it into a $6000 bill this is nothing new but this a thin line between up selling and outright scamming and lying and that's the reason for this review.

The dentist insisted on a bunch of x-rays which is fine it creates a larger bill so instead of being $50 to recement the tooth it's like $300 but unfortunately as a patient you need to play along with this nonsense. Where she got caught though is when she told me specifically that I had a cavity in my tooth. I'm a surgeon and know how to read x-rays so I asked her to take a look at the x-ray. She hesitated for a moment and then realized that she have to say something to get herself off the hook because I would be able to tell whether or not there was a cavity simply by looking at the x-ray. So the scam that she pulled out of her hat was that the x-rays are too dark for me to be able to see the cavity. I then naturally asked her if that's the case then how can you see the cavity.

Anyway she lied the rest of the story is just her trying to get out of a lie. She wouldn't give me a copy of my x-rays which is my legal right to obtain by the way, because she said they were too dark and that no other doctor would be able to read them either. After being caught in the lie she had the audacity and goal to charge me close to $200 to put temporary cement not permanent, but temporary cement which doesn't last more than a couple of days.

I bit my tongue and I paid the bill but I was this close to calling the police to report her for fraud but didn't do it. Went to another doctor who happened to be an honest dentist and he took an x-ray and told me that the tooth is perfectly fine and he put permanent cement on the crown and it is now back on the post. He to charge $250 but at least he didn't try to upsell me or rip me off or lie to me. It was just a very high bill for re-cementing a crown but that's fine with me.

I don't write many reviews even if a doctor is incompetent I don't write a review but when they are fraudulent and engaged in what amounts to criminal behavior from my perspective I feel is necessary to warn the public off this particular provider.

These people are incompetent. It took them over a year to bill our insurance correctly for a service that we should not have had to pay for. We called again and again, and were sent a bill for over $2,000 a month every month for a year. Most recently, we moved and requested records and x-rays a month in advance (assuming they would screw it up) and...they did. They did not send the correct x-rays in time for my appointment. If you can go somewhere else, you definitely should. Incompetent, unprofessional, unorganized, and not in the least helpful. 🙁

There is a reason she is taking in new patients constantly! Horrible service! Beware of Dr. Goodman, she is rough with her patients and rushes through her patients. She does not take civilized complaints, she acts like she is doing you a favor. Had to go to another dentist to have her work fixed, she did not own up to her mistakes and left me talking and in pain. Avoid!

PLEASE, PLEASE BE AWARE! This company fraudulent and a scam.
Husband had some work done here and paid his bill right on site, months later they send a bill for the same work and when trying to dispute the charge thy hang up the phone. Month later after refusion to pay for this unexplained charge they had my husband in collections which was impossible to win a dispute. PLEASE PLESE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM and does not care for its clients

We just started going here, and we love them! They we're knowledgeable about my insurance, and very friendly! This is definitely our new dental office!
