I called to make an appointment and they told me *on the phone prior to me hiring a baby sitter and coming in to an early morning appt* that they could do a cleaning AND remove some orthodontic glue from my teeth. I made 100% sure they could before I confirmed the appt. So I hired a babysitter and showed up to my 9am appt where the reception greeted me with a rude remark that basically meant “you’re late but I’ll let them know you’re here anyways” I held up my phone and showed her it was 9am on the dot and pulled up the text from this office where it said “9am appt.” I filled out a ton of paperwork, they called me to the back, did an X-ray then an assistant told me they would have to refer me to an orthodontist. Somewhere along the lines someone lied about being able to remove this glue and it has inconvenienced me to no end! She then proceeds to take me to the front desk and have me pay for an X-ray! I wasn’t even there for an X-ray! The older lady that sits at the front desk had a rude look on her face when I told her I wasn’t paying for an X-ray that I didn’t ask for! I didn’t get anything done that they said they could do and now I will be going SOMEWHERE ELSE. Horrible experience. Also, get rid of that older woman with the dark hair that is the first to speak to your customers and find someone that is courteous.

I have been using Dr. Matthews for years. He, as well as all his staff, is always professional but super friendly and caring. They make me feel as if I am their only patient and my dental health is their top priority. I have become part of their family and I never dread or get nervous about going to "see the dentist". It has always been an enjoyable experience even with fillings and root canals!
I highly recommend this group for all your dental needs.

Dr. Mathews and Jennifer have been looking after my teeth for quite some time now. Dr Mathews always makes time to come in a talk to me and makes me feel like part of the family and not just another patient and Jennifer does a excellent job cleaning my teeth and hardly ever feel a thing while she is doing it. Everybody at the office is wonderful and friendly. Never had a bad experience.

Great experiences. I don’t like going to the dentist but this office makes it much more bearable. Anna is a great dental hygienist. She made me feel comfortable and was gentle with my teeth. Dr. Matthews does excellent work. They have earned my business.

First off I am a dental hygienist myself so I know what I’m expecting when I visit an office. I needed a dental office close to my work so I wasn’t fighting traffic to get to my appointments. They were very fast to get in with. The office is beautiful and clean. The staff is beyond enjoyable to deal with. The hygienist Anna was comforting and made me feel right at home. Dr. Matthews was laid back, easy going and does fantastic work. I just felt like I belonged there. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

My family has been associated with Dothan Dental for nearly 20 years. Dr Matthews has taken excellent care of all of our dental needs, and his dental hygienists are all so friendly. I personally recommend Amy Bonds. They've recently updated all of their dental chairs and equipment and spared no expense to make their clients comfortable.
