I cannot recommend Dr. Tawfilis and his team enough! After receiving poor treatment in the ED, I was relieved to find such a compassionate and skilled provider. Dr. Tawfilis and his office staff immediately validated my experience and worked quickly to get me scheduled for surgery to repair my broken chin.

Dr. Tawfilis is clearly passionate about his work, and his enthusiasm gave me confidence throughout the process. His staff was equally incredible—empathetic, friendly, and diligent in working with my insurance to ensure my procedures were covered. Scheduling was easy, and the entire experience was as smooth as I could have hoped for given the circumstances.

If you’re in need of an oral surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Tawfilis and his amazing team!

Very thankful for my experience with Dr. Tawfilis and his office. Although, my PCP was being less than cooperative with getting the necessary paperwork in, the staff, specifically Grace, helped me still keep my appointment. During my visit, everyone was super friendly and upbeat.. honestly, it was probably the sweet tunes they play all day. Fortunate enough for Dr. Tawfilis to recognize my problem isn't aggressive enough for his services. Instead of just sending me away, he made sure I had a referral for a specialist who could help me. Grace, again, went out her way to make sure the referral was properly put through and followed up to make sure it was received. I'm happy I don't need surgery, however, it makes me a little sad to not get care from such a great group of people.

Worst experience and worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. Here is my painful story.

I started my dental treatment for implant in February 2023. I got my 2 teeth extraction and bone grafting in February. I struggled with high grade pain for almost 3 weeks and I was feeling something was wrong and my gums didnt appear normal. There was soreness in my gums for several months. I made multiple visits with this complaint but Dr Tawfilis said everything looks normal. How ever I was feeling it abnormal, and he couldnt root cause.

On January 5th 2024 I got my implant placed. It was again super painful for several days. There was also whitish discharge around my implant and I sent the pictures to doctor. He again said its normal.

On January 19th I went to doctor on follow up appointment. Within few minutes doctor confirmed that it has failed and removed my implant out. There was no infection or anything else. It clearly appeared to my some mistake was done while placing the implant.

The worse part here is Dr Tawfilis didnt have any answer why it failed. Any Surgeon would know the reason for failure.

I recommend never use this facility, there are many other good doctors in town that I am exploring to get it done again.

This is long, but well deserved:
I came to Dr. Tawfilis after a botched surgery that needed repair for a bilateral TMJ fracture/replacement, and accompanied mandibular advancement. I worked for a large healthcare company and had access to the best of the best from whom to get decent recommendations for an orthognastic surgeon. I continued to mention his name in passing to various doctors in all kinds of specialties with whom I worked, and invariably everyone knew of him and confirmed that he is the best in the business.
Dr. T. went over my extensive history with the injury and gave me all of my options and recommendations. He was able to spot and explain the problem at my very first visit. Because his treatment included orthodontia, he referred me to an amazing office that also took great care of me. He was very diligent in keeping in contact with them throughout my treatment there. Once it came time for his part of the final process, he was amazing. Any glitches that arose were of my own doing because I'm an impatient healer, always trying too hard to speed up my recovery. Nevertheless, he was always so kind in adjusting treatment accordingly without frustration or chastisement.
Even though my treatment with him ended 6+ months ago he has always been so patient to continue to answer any questions or concerns I send his way. Even at the hospital the nursing staff commented that, "He's far too nice to be a surgeon", and "a real pleasure to work with."
His office staff is flawless. The manager was always on top of everything in a timely manner, which is all but unheard of in healthcare. The sweet ladies at the front are so kind and even if I had to wait they made it fun and always made me feel like I was the most important person in the room.
I have since moved out of state, but if I ever needed any treatment in the future I would fly back without question, as he is the only surgeon I trust to work on my jaw.
I cannot give a better recommendation for Dr. Tawfilis and his office staff. He saved my disastrous face better than I could have ever hoped for. A true professional and family man, with more care and concern than I have ever received. And that's coming from a healthcare professional myself. A 100% endorsement!

Dr. Tawfilis did my eminectomy surgery in February. The surgery was a huge success for me and something I should’ve done many years ago. I have TMJ disorder and my jaw has been dislocating for the last 8 years whenever I accidentally yawned too wide. As the years went on, I had to go to the ER or urgent care when it dislocated — doctors would manually put my jaw back into place. I was tired of this and finally decided to get surgery. Dr. Tawfilis is very kind and also helpful with explaining details of the surgery in layman’s terms. His staff was also very friendly and professional. The surgery was perfect, I have zero lasting side effects. I can now open my jaw fully without even the slightest concern of it dislocating. I am set for life, never having to deal with my jaw dislocating ever again — thanks to Dr. Tawfilis and the successful surgery he performed. I am forever grateful and highly recommend him for any surgery or procedure you may be considering!
