I was referred to Dr. Brown by my Dentist due to discomfort on the right side of my mouth. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Brown and she recommended I extract my right upper and lower wisdom teeth. I’m someone who doesn’t like surgeries so I scheduled the extraction for the following week so I didn’t have time to overthink it. Dr. Brown did a great job of reassuring me that everything will be fine. They recommended I do IV sedation along with the local anesthesia that way I would be in a “twilight” sleep during the operation and not feel anything. After researching the other options I decided to do nitrous oxide “laughing gas” Instead with local anesthesia because I did not mind being awake during the procedure. Also, my wife was pregnant at the time and I did not want to involve her to drive me there and back so laughing gas worked out better because you are allowed to drive home after the surgery. The surgery went smooth, and I was finished with the operation in less than an hour and on my way to the pharmacy then home. The only feedback I have is that they don’t do electronic scripts for medication, which will slow you down at the pharmacy and they should also give patients an oral flush after wisdom teeth extraction… I got mine off Amazon the day after the surgery. Overall great experience and I would recommend anyone to Dr. Brown because she is passionate and knowledgeable about her profession.

Amazing! Phenomenal!

After years of putting off braces (I’m in late 30s/early 40s), I took the plunge and saw: dentist, periodontist, and orthodontist to ensure I was a good candidate.

I didn’t know where to get the long feared extraction done. (Since I was a child I have not trusted / liked dentists). I looked up practices that took my insurance and found a video by the practice on Youtube. I saw her speak and all those fears melted away.

Her staff was efficient and had gotten all the clearances and authorizations in a timely fashion. Front desk staff was very friendly which out me at ease as well.

I asked to be sedated to remove 4 molars (the ones next to the canines/pointy ones) and she is truly the best. She triple checked medical history, made sure I had shared any allergies, had me hooked up to a monitor for a while to gauge blood pressure and heart rate, among other procedures to ensure I was fit to be “under” for about 30 minutes. She walked me through it in a kind yet professional and efficient manner. I was still nervous but just her presence (calm and confident demeanor) made me feel at ease. I felt and knew I was in good hands.

Now, 7 hours after surgery, I don’t feel any pain, numbness, nor discomfort. I am thankful to the God/universe that I was in her hands. If you need ora work done, Dr. Akeyla Brown is phenomenal.
