Dr. Berger is the best in Southern California. He is knowledgeable, kind, and talented. I just had a complex double jaw surgery a few weeks ago. He always made me feel confident in that he knew what he was doing. Everything has been looking great so far and I’ve been healing well. The front office people have been quick to answer any questions I may have. They are responsive and kind. No issues there. I am so glad I got my surgery done with Dr. Berger!

Thank goodness for Dr. Berger! I had a dentist have to pull a fractured tooth. 5 weeks later same dentist said I was good to get an implant and put it in. I spent a week in excruciating pain, going back to the dentist every day to make sure something wasn’t wrong, more X-rays, and 3 times just for Novocain to get through the day. Nights were awful. Finally a week after the implant was placed I went back and told them to
Take it out. I had some initial relief, but 36 hours later (as luck would have it on a Saturday) the entire left side of my face exploded in such severe and agonizing pain, I ended up in the ER where they had to double down on the morphine. They told me it was just a lot of inflammation in a small space and sent me away with orders to follow up with an oral surgeon or an oral maxillofacial surgeon. I called Dr. Berger’s office first thing Monday and started crying when they told me they could get me in the very next day! And guess what?! He actually took a good look at the area and informed me I had a bone infection. FINALLY! My dentist, a trip to the ER, and a different oral surgeon all kind of brushed it aside “yup, sounds like it hurts” Nope - it was much more that some that just hurts. I’m so grateful we found Dr. Berger and that he is taking my oral health so seriously. I’m following the protocol he gave me and am feeling 100% better. Looking forward to having my tooth implant done correctly by Dr. Berger in a few months when my bone is fully healed.

I had massive over-crowding of my upper and lower jaw. This eventually gave me a massive underbite as I grew older. To correct this, I needed to have a lot of my molars extracted, and to have lower jaw surgery to correct my bite. Dr. Berger performed the extractions flawlessly, and I had relatively little pain and recovered well (without any dry socket).

Dr. Berger continued to work with my orthodontist (Dr. Mark Rothstein) to develop a plan for my braces and lower jaw surgery to work in tandem to correct my bite.

My dad's work healthcare that covered our family didn't cover my corrective surgery procedures, because they assumed it was for aesthetic purposes. But Dr. Berger wrote them a letter saying how my overcrowding and underbite were a health issue, and impacted my oral hygiene and health. Thanks to Dr. Berger, the insurance company agreed to cover my procedures. I sympathize for others who have had issues with their dental insurance.

10 years have passed, and my bite and teeth are still perfect. Dr. Berger is a very experienced and knowledgeable surgeon, and works well to plan care procedures with other doctors.

Dr. Berger is an excellent surgeon and I could not be happier. I had upper jaw surgery, bone graphs and dental implants. Not only was Dr. Berger wonderful but Patty who works in the office is an absolute doll. She makes you feel more like family than a customer. Thank you so much!!!!
