Dr. Mark Slivka

Dr. Slivka is amazing!! I've been on a 1.5 year regiment for Invisiline that has gone flawlessly (and fast) thanks to him. He is transparent with my progress, and I could see for myself on the screen how I was "green like money" across my teeth at my half year check-in. Teeth aside, he is positive, funny, and delightful to work with. Highly recommend this doc. Thanks Dr. Slivka!

First of all I’d like to start this review by thanking Dr. Slivka for changing my life! I suffered with terrible migraines for years and I could not find a doctor that could figure out how to give me relief. When I did my consult with Dr. Slivka I had no intention on bringing up my migraines as i was mostly concerned on just getting straighter teeth. I didn’t even mention the fact that i had migraines to him. He blew my mind when he knew i had migraines by just looking at my teeth. I had overcrowding and had to get 7 teeth pulled! 3 wisdoms and 4 others. Although the process to my beautiful smile was very extensive, Dr. Slivka made it feel like a breeze :) He’s super kind and personable and really funny. HANDS DOWN the best Orthodontist in Tucson. Anyone that has something bad to say about him can go to hell because he’s absolutely amazing ! GO DR. SLIVKA!!!!!!

Imagine waking up for the last two decades with headaches, vertigo, jaw pain, lock jaw, neck pain and ringing ears.... then imagine seeing every specialist for those things and being told we can't find anything or it's my imagination. Then imagine walking into an orthodontist office and being told maybe, just maybe he can help. Well, I am 55 years old and in September 2022, I finally gave in and decided to see an orthodontist. I know now, my gut told me to wait because Dr. Mark Slivka wasn't in Tucson yet. I love a doctor who has a sense of humor and who can put you at ease. I have been scared of dentists for as long as I can remember but after my first visit with Dr. Slivka I knew this 24-month process would be just fine. He listened to everything I had to say and then gave me the greatest news a person could ever hear. Dr. Slivka asked several questions about ringing ears and TMJ. I told him I had tinnitus, clicking/locking jaws, morning headaches, neck pain, and vertigo. He explained there was a real possibility it was all related to my teeth. He didn't promise it would get better but said he was pretty sure I would have less symptoms. Today was my fourth visit with him. In the three months of my treatment my tinnitus, clicking/locking jaws, headaches, neck pain and vertigo are COMPLETELY GONE! Not only will I have a beautiful smile in the end, but my health will be better as well. I have seen other dentists who have basically said I would have to live with my TMJ. But with the help of Dr. Slivka I will never have to live with it. Dr. Slivka is an amazing orthodontist. He is patient, caring, and super funny. He never rushes through my appointments and always answers each of my questions thoroughly. I have never visited the dentist's office without panic and stress. But I actually look forward to my visits with Dr. Slivka because I know he is helping to make my health and my smile the best it can be. Thank you Dr. Slivka for everything you've done for me. I couldn't be more grateful. If you need an orthodontist Dr. Mark Slivka is the man to see. He will be changing the face of orthodontics for adults. Tell him Donna Greene sent you!

Life changing experience suffered with migraines that would last 3 weeks at a time. Once the braces were in they went away in 3 days time no more migraines. If you suffer with migraines consider getting an orthodontist to take a look

I’m not one to ever complain, but this orthodontist is absolutely awful. It was mistake after mistake after mistake, and he and his team never accepted responsibility. He had no idea where I was at with my treatment and kept giving me misinformation. I got Invisalign’s and they ordered the wrong one the first time, cut them and left them sharp, didn’t answer the phone when it was cutting into my cheek until after six days I cut them myself, reordered them because they had ordered them incorrectly and LOST the second set. So I had to wait until my final two trays to get the correctly ordered set and he said he was going to restart me on tray 2 or 3 instead of going into tray 4 on schedule and he said he was saving me money or something because he thought his staff had ordered five MORE trays and forgot he just reordered the same trays that I was supposed to get originally. He also said I had to have each tray for 4 weeks and I downloaded the Invisalign app and you can’t even enter than long for the reminder because according to Invisalign, you’re only supposed to wear them for 1-2 weeks. He said I’d have to have a retainer forever after. (See info below on my new Ortho) I tried communicating my grievances with him and his office and he didn’t say a word. I honestly thought he didn’t hear me so I repeated myself and he didn’t react. It was truly bizarre. I asked to transfer to a new doctor after the long history of problems and he still didn’t address my issues, try to understand what happened, or apologize. The craziest part is that they 3D scan your mouth then Invisalign basically does all the work. You don’t even need the middle man. Yet somehow this lousy doctor and his team managed to mess up at every appointment and never accepted responsibility. As I was cancelling treatment they said they had saved me money and ignored the fact that they didn’t comply to the original treatment of a simple set of five Invisalign retainers. They didn’t save me a cent, they were just making stuff up at the end that had nothing to do with my treatment. I had ordered Invisalign from the start. Anyway. I’m at Walton Ortho now and Doctor Walton is amazing. He very much knows what he’s talking about and after installment of a permanent retainer behind my bottom front teeth, I’ll just have nighttime retainers. Definitely recommend Doctor Walton! If you’re looking for a competent orthodontic team, find someone other than Slivka!!
