Really thankful I was referred here and they made time for same day treatment as I was in unbearable pain. Dr. Follmar went above and beyond with his communication, punctuality, and procedure. His team was very polite and showed exceptional customer service to where my toddler even felt comfortable. For any Oral work I will only visit here. Moving to California with unfinished dental work was a leap of faith. I was in the midst of serious dental work that began with my motorcycle accident twenty years prior and I had a whole team of doctors in Chicago helping me to get my teeth back in order. Although I had plans to return to Chicago to have the work finished for good, I still had a lot of work that had to be done beforehand.

Not knowing anyone in the dental field in California, I reached out to an oral surgery clinic that had a website showing their practice to be a multigenerational family practice that strives to treat their patients like family. This felt like a great start!! Much to my surprise, after learning of all the damage that my accident had caused to my teeth, the surgeon himself, Dr. Troy Follmar, reached out to me directly to invite me to come to his office for a consult. On the day of my appointment, I was welcomed warmly by his staff and after hardly any wait, I was taken to a room and given a quick X-ray. Dr. Follmar then came in to meet me. He was friendly and we spoke a bit about my accident. He saw I had a lot going on because of the trauma, but he was not scared off by how complicated my case was. He told me that he would take me on as his patient, and within a very short time, I had surgery with him. The surgery went smoothly and I had zero complications afterwards.

I’m so grateful to have met Dr. Follmar and I will definitely refer anyone who needs an oral surgeon to him.

They were not able to communicate effectively about medications or pharmacy even tho they made it clear it was important to figure out which pharmacy before hand. They Changed the pharmacy after I got surgery without telling because they don't use that pharmacy...

I had a wisdom tooth extraction with Dr. Alicia and it was the greatest and painless procedure I ever had- if I had more teeth to pull I would. I went in with IV anesthesia and it felt so good afterwards and no pain whatsoever. I was a little bit worried beforehand but felt so comfortable afterwards. The medical team does a good and thorough job making you feel comfortable so I would recommend anyone to come here for any extractions. Would definitely go through this procedure again and there’s nothing to worry about with Dr. Alicia!

I consider myself calm in situations that require procedures and doctor's, however, when it comes to the world of dentistry my anxiety puts me in shambles. I’ve been a patient with the Dr. Follmar, first his father, now his son Troy for 15 years for tooth extractions, bone grafting, and now implant placements. They offer sedation for those like me with high anxiety, and in house imaging, including dental MRI. Dr. Troy Follmar is confident and amazing at what he does I appreciated how he came in no-nonsense, identified the problems with my teeth and made a game plan that we are sticking to. He and his staff are highly skilled, efficient, and friendly from the front office clerks, to the RNs, and other supporting staff. The RNs took good care of me while I was coming out of anesthesia and gave thorough instructions to my husband. My recovery was smooth, and getting medications sent to the correct pharmacy in a timely manner is all I’ve known from them. Dr. Follmar calls you personally to check in on you after the procedure. I need several teeth replaced via implants which is expensive, I never thought I would be getting a new smile anytime soon but through this office’s flexible payment plan, and my insurance (Delta PPO) it’s a reality that is unfolding now! I would recommend this office to any one of course but, especially someone needing oral surgery and suffers from debilitating dental anxiety.

Dr. Troy Follmar did an excellent job with my oldest daughter, she was filled with anxiety and he immediately calmed her and made sure she was ok throughout the entire process. He even called the following day to check in on her. Super impressed with him and his staff, I have since recommended all my friends and family his way. This is the doctor you want.
