My appointment there was cancelled 3 times and postponed months out. The last time it was cancelled, the person on the phone made me feel as if it was my fault that I hadn’t been there in over a year and treated me like I was the problem. She was so condescending it ruined my whole day. That being said, I love Doctor Aiken. That is the only reason I will ever go back. But honestly, the whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and I might end up finding another place to go.

I have to say that I have hated going to the dentist from childhood. I went to the dentist faithfully for years but had not gone in several years until finding East Oaks in early 2024. Finally in my mid 40s I am having a great dental experience. Dr. Aiken and the staff at East Oaks are great. Both of my teenage children are happy we switched to East Oaks when moving to the area too. Having wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Koury was also a great process for our teenagers from scheduling to post procedure care and follow up. The quotes are clear and accurate and the follow up is great. We will definitely be patients at East Oaks for years to come.

Rudest receptionist I’ve ever encountered… I showed up and she explained they were about to close and my appointment was 2 days ago. I look at my confirmation and she was right, the “reminder” they sent 30 min before my actual appointment was indeed there… I thought this was weird because I am only able to sneak away from work on Fridays. Luckily, on my work phone, all calls are recorded. So, I go back and listen and sure enough I specify Fridays only. Furthermore, I specify that the previous dentists I called required a consultation and were unable to do a cleaning without consultation… (not same day) I clearly asked if I would be able to get a cleaning that day…

So I call the manager… she tries to tell me that insurance wouldn’t pay for a cleaning without x rays. Good thing I called my insurance rep first (as the receptionist said the same thing). THIS IS INACCURATE AND PREDATORY. I informed her of my insurance stating that they would pay for a cleaning, she says “well it’s our standard of care” (better answer lol) When I ask for this information in writing she says she will not do that, says I’m not making it “easy for them” and hangs up on me.

I will be reporting this company to my insurance and the board of dentistry for fraudulent and predatory policies. Look at the other reviews, my experience is echoed throughout the years of reviews.

Rude, unprofessional, liars. Legitimately stay away from this one…

Dr. Aiken is terrific. She is very detailed, inspecting each tooth, including my tongue. She actually found a suspicious growth and referred me for a biopsy. Scary. No other doctor checks out the health of your mouth so I was quite impressed. She also does the plaque cleaning. But I don't care for the hygienist who does a rather perfunctory cleaning with paste and floss.

Took a day off of work to get my teeth cleaned. Did I get my teeth cleaned? NO! They require a consultation and x rays first… I specified over the phone that I did not want to do that… also the receptionist was rude. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Go to Dr Woodall in Thousand Oaks!

The office provided incorrect estimates for work which tripled in price at the date of the procedure and double-charged for consultations. I also had to go back and forth with their office for days just to get a simple referral submitted. My usual dentist office was on the phone with them for 30 minutes trying to figure out where they wanted a referral. After they submitted it to the email they recommended, the office said they don’t have access to that email. Huge waste of time and effort. I think their healthcare team is good but unfortunately all the processes that revolve around that team cripple their effectiveness. Please be warned, they don’t stand behind their initial estimates which is a huge red flag.

If I could rate it zero I would. From an administrative perspective this is the worst run business EVER!!! Technically cannot comment on the dentist’s ability from a service perspective as after multiple visits I still was unable to have my teeth cleaned. However, her lack of proper communication on top of the incapable administrative staff to book an appointment correctly has now wasted even more of my time. Maybe she’s good, maybe she’s not. I will never know because I’m never stepping foot into their facility again.

Really good service here. I did my routine exam and cleaning with Dr. Lahham. She was very understanding as I told her I had a few sensitive teeth and don't want to experience any pain during the cleaning. She avoided those teeth and cleaned them manually. She also checked on me frequently during the process. I really really appreciated it as pain is my No. 1 reason for not going back to any dentist office. I also did a few other procedures and they were all pain free. The dental assistants and front desk staff members were all super nice. I didn't have to wait at all. Good time management skills on their part. Staff members seem to be tech savvy as well so very seamless in terms of collecting signatures and documentations. Totally would recommend to others who are looking for a new dental office.
