I cannot recommend Dr. Rika enough! She is the first dentist I have been to that prioritizes how I feel about my smile and developed a game plan that suited my needs. Her attention to detail, gentle approach, and willingness to address all concerns make my appointments stress-free. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and skilled dentist!

It has been 1 year and 2 months since my wife had a new crown done by Dr. Rika. Weeks after receiving treatment, my wife spit out half of the crown. The crown was thin, and the other half was likely swallowed prior to the remaining portion falling out. Dr. Rika offered to replace the crown with a silver crown OR with a suggested root canal to the tooth so that she could “drill down deeper to get a thicker crown placed”.

We went to a few specialists, including two endodontists and a new dentist, and they all agreed that not only was the crown fragment we saved “on the shallow side”, but that a new porcelain crown could be placed with better preparation of the tooth and avoid any root canal.

It has been almost a year with her new crown and all is good!

We actually have submitted over 4 requests for Cigna to receive a refund from Dr Rika, but all 4 requests have gone unanswered.

Now, onto MY experience… after a cleaning at Dr. Rika’s office (also 1 year and 2 months ago), I was told that my back two teeth (one on each side) had a “surface cavity” that needed attention.

During the actual filling, Dr. Rika made some casual conversation about how “previous dentists she has worked with would rather watch ‘these’ cavities than fill them”.

Well… to date, I have to chew with the front section of my mouth. These so called, ‘surface cavities’ have caused nothing but trouble and any tiny piece of food that is hard sends me through the roof!

After my cleaning, I heard the hygienist say that my x-rays looked “good”. When I asked to see the cavities on the x-rays, Dr. Rika became pretty flustered when pointing out what exactly I should be looking at on the screen. She just circled her pen around and said, “I wish I took a photo of what the tooth looked like visually”…

We have never walked away from a dentist office and have never asked for a refund. They can keep the money but I just truly hope that this review can save someone else from the trouble we went through at this office.

Genuinely, I have zero faith in Dr. Rika or her ability to perform dental work, which is why we will be reporting this office to the dental association moving forward. SO crazy!

Do yourself a huge favor and find another dentist.

This is the best dentist you could ever ask for. My mother has dry socket and these people listen and they care; they helped her immediately. This office is a blessing. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend

Dr. Rika and staff are extremely pleasant, professional, accommodating, and very good at what they do. The office is modern, spacious, and well-organized. Dr Rika provided my wife and me with exceptional corective dental care, including 13-month Invisalign treatment, which gave amazing results, correcting my uneven bite, leaving perfectly straight teeth and much improved smile! My dental insurance recently changed, so I had to seek another dentist in the area. I'll miss the expertise, friendliness, and quality care Dr Rika and staff provided us. Highly recommended, exceptional dentistry! ☆☆☆☆☆!!

Dr. Rika is awesome. It was five minutes before closing time at her dental office in El Dorado Hills. I walked in because I had a chipped tooth and I used to have my dental work there at this location before she took over this dental office I was greeted with a big smile and I told her what my problem was and she shocked me and said come to the back and let me look at your tooth. She took x-ray. She looked at my tooth and she put a filling in for me. It blew me away. How concerned she was about me being taken care of. She was gentle. She was nice throughout the whole procedure. Where can you walk into a dental office and tell them that you have a little pain in your tooth and they take you in right away nowhere that’s why she’s my new dentist, thank you Riker. See you soon. Too bad all dentist aren’t like her.

If you have dentist anxiety and are in the Sacramento area I couldn’t possibly recommend them more.
I’ve been seeing them for over a year and they’re always gentle, calm, efficient, and do great work!
Today I had a panic attack in the chair and every single staff member and Dr. Rika were there for me.
Compassionate healthcare is under appreciated so I had to take a moment to recognize them.

I love this place. I’ve known and worked with the staff for over ten years. Dr. Rika has a wealth of knowledge and skills, and it shows through her work. The staff really takes a close understanding of you and remembers even the small details. I Highly recommend coming to this office for all of your dental work. You won’t be disappointed.
