I have an appointment tomorrow Friday August 16. Then get a phone call from an employee Cassandra cancelling my appointment because I am not a patient. All this time refusing to see me at another location because I have to be seen at the Valencia location because I'm an established patient there. El Rio needs a class action Lawsuit against them. They just treat their patients like throw away garbage. No accountability. I have been waiting since May with a toothache. Just goes to show you it's all about the paycheck not the patients.

Great experience at this El Rio location. Aneth was so kind and fun to chat with at my recent teeth cleaning appointment. I'm usually anxious at healthcare appointments but she made me feel comfortable and at ease. She's gentle and my teeth are nice and clean now. The reception people were friendly too. The whole staff at El Rio Southwest Dental provided the perfect blend of kind and professional care. I've been so lucky to be cared for by the El Rio team, they really do an amazing job! 🙂

No more walk-ins. I have an emergency dental problem. I just want it pulled. I could not be seen here or any of their clinics from what the woman said at the desk. Go to Urgent Care or ER for antibiotics. I wish I never waated my time or gas to go here

For a business that is specifically listed as a practice that works with special needs patients and/or patients with disabilities, I am so disappointed in this office. I’m disgusted by the behavior of the Doctor in regards to treating a family member of mine- as well her verbiage, coldness and all around lack of bedside manner towards an obvious special needs patient. This office wasn’t even aware that they are one of the few practices listed in Arizona that works with special needs patients, as they tried to give my mother a list of offices that would be better equipped to help her and my brother, and wouldn't you have it- their office was on the list. If you do not have the personality/character to work with differently abled patients then make sure your practice is not listed as such. In a world of un-compassionate people and ignorance towards differently abled people, you would think you could rely on your Doctors to hold themselves to a higher standard.

Been going to the El Rio Dental on Congress for past 6 years. They've always been courteous and helpful from my experience. That goes for the office staff as well as the health providers. The only problem I have had with them is scheduling an appointment. Since the pandemic it seems they are overwhelmed with patients that postponed treatments like myself. I went in with an emergency cracked tooth. They got me in within an hour (the trick is to arrive at 6:45am) and evaluated me , fixed my tooth and gave me a treatment plan for about 4 other needed procedures. Problem was, they never could fit me in for the follow up. Have cavities, in need of deep cleaning and another cracked tooth and they can't even make an appointment for months in advance. Not their fault. They are a nonprofit organization that serves a huge population of under funded people in Tucson. They are overwhelmed with requests. I am very happy with the respectful and thorough care I have received in the past, but I had to seek my dental care elsewhere this month because my needs couldn't wait months for treatment. I wish them well because they have provided care for so many who otherwise would have no alternative because of lack of income or insurance. I am fortunate I have a choice, but I will always admire their mission and care for those who don't have a choice.

The wait time without an appointment is nearly all day. It doesn't matter if you are coming in as an emergency and or in pain, they will only see you when the scheduled patients have been seen. The front desk support staff were very rude, and could be over heard speaking negatively about a patient. The security or person/s taking everyone's temp was very nice, helpful, friendly and professional. The back end staff including the dentist and those that work closely with the dentists/techs were great! My daughter has special needs and was very uncomfortable with having to be there, was made to feel safe and sincerely cared about. Kudos to El Rio.

I DO NOT KNOW WHY NEGATIVE COMMENTS FOR THIS DENTAL OFFICE BECAUSE FROM THE FIRST TIME I WALKED IN THEIR RECEPTIONIST WAS CURTEOUS DENTAL ASSISTANT AND DENTIST WERE ALL SO KIND AND CARING EVEN ASKED ON A QUESTIONER HOW I FELT ABOUT FROM 1 TO 5 ABOUT MY TEETH SADNESS I CHOSE AND THEY ASSIGNED ME WITH A STUDENT GRADUATE DENTIST TO LOWER THE COST OF MY COPAYMENTS TO ALMOST ZERO I COMPARED DENTAL PRICES FROM OTHER HIGH NAMED DENTAL OFFICES WHO WANTED 10 TIMES OR MORE FOR MY DENTAL NEEDS.

Absolutely terrible. I am switching to another dental clinic. Been calling for 2 weeks multiple times a day starting with 7:00 Am and throughout the day. No one ever picks up the phone. Same message all the day “ we are unusually busy”. Really the second you open you have a line of 100 people ? Worst practice ever and will give 0 stars if I could. I don’t know how they operate. Will reach out to higher management because I have been there to see the dynamics, to see if they are so busy like they say. Guess what they are not. The ladies chat while the phone rings and you are quickly “put on hold”. I don’t recommend this practice to anyone and will take my evidence and reach out to management .
