I don’t leave reviews but unfortunately my family and my experiences with this office warranted it. This office has severely gone down hill the last few years. The doctors and hygienists used to be phenomenal. They used to actually listen to your concerns, be attentive and interactive, but all of the good staff have left and been replaced by others who sell services instead of actually care for their patients. Like a couple of other experiences noted in these reviews, I rarely saw the doctor the last couple years I went here. I was only treated to X-Ray technicians and hygienists. The last time I spoke to one of the actual dentists there, I was advised to get a more comprehensive scan done to rule out potential issues with extracting my wisdom teeth. The scan was completed by a different office and the results were sent back to Festival. No one reached out to me about the scan results for 2 weeks. So I called and asked about them. I was told that the doctor should have reviewed them but will have to call me back. So I waited another two weeks and still no call. I called again and was given the same excuse. I waited and waited and by my next appointment, I still hadn’t gotten a response or any information about the scans that they recommended. So I cancelled all of my upcoming appointments because it was clear, they didn’t even know who I was or what was going on. It’s now been close to 2 years and I still haven’t gotten any call from them about the scans or me not coming in again…. Wow.
That’s not really what drove me to write this though. It was actually the experiences my wife and kids have had with them. Twice now my wife has taken our kids to the dentist and specifically told the staff that we do not do fluoride treatments. The first time, the hygienist tried to sneak it in as “special toothpaste” that helps protect the teeth. No amount of calling it something else was going to deceive us. The second time, they actually separated my wife from our kid to perform her dental work and snuck in the fluoride treatment despite my wife specifically telling them not to. I don’t care if it is recommended. It’s our teeth, our children and our choice for how you care for them. It’s completely unacceptable and is a clear example of why we do not trust them and will not be coming back. If you are someone who blindly lets the doctors make your mouth a money pit, then by all means this might be the place for you. But my family and I will not tolerate the lack of respect and awareness.
