Dr. Chmiel is just a wonderful person. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't like her. She is friendly, warm, affable, and personable, someone who is perfect to work with kids and teenagers. She is extremely professional, everything from her practice, her office, to her team.

I took my son, who just turned 13, to Dr. Chmiel for a second opinion about his orthodontic needs, after he had refused to get braces from an orthodontist we had seen earlier (he was turned off, which I agreed, by an office manager asking him to choose which braces even before the orthodontist checked his teeth).

To put it lightly, he was still in a resistant mode when we went in to see Dr. Chmiel. But she was very patience in evaluating his teeth, explaining why braces were needed, and what would happen if he didn't do it. It wasn't a hard sell, but a professional opinion with lots of information to help him make the right decision. He was convinced and agreed to get the treatment the moment we got out of her office!! No complaints at all!

He has had his braces for about 3 weeks now and seems to adjust well, all thanks to Dr. Chmiel!!!

Dr. Schmiel has no idea what she’s doing, if i’m being quite honest. I don’t recommend anyone going here at all. My brother was going to her for a couple of years and she did absolutely nothing, other than taking our money. My brother had a tooth stuck in his gums from an injury. Instead of taking it out, they did a surgery and just glued the tooth instead. The gum got infected and we visited another orthodontist, Dr. Michele Van Berg, who we will now be going to. Firefly Orthodontics do not inform you about anything they’re doing (if they even DO know what they’re doing.) do not recommend at all.

this honestly was a complete waste of my money. dr. smchiel scammed me out of 4k for my sons treatment. 4 years in total and no progress at all. no idea what she was doing. worst experience i’ve had w an orthodontist.
if i can go 0 stars out of 5 i would.
