I’ve been with Gentle Dental La Mesa for 35+ years. Dentists, hygienists & staff have come and gone, but yesterday I had a cleaning with Norris and a check-up with Dr.Ramon. Wish I thought to get everyone’s names, because from check-in to check-out, it was the best experience ever. Friendly, professional, efficient across the board. I walked out feeling like a valued patient.

This place has changed for the better since I was here last year. Apparently it is under new Management and you can really tell. From making appointments to follow up and billing everyone in the front end was kind and helpful. The dentist and hygienist did a great job explaining everything they were planning on doing and why it needed to be done. I won’t go into what it was like here before but I’m telling you, I would now wholeheartedly recommend Gentle Dental to friends and family. I give A++ for customer service.

Door was locked when I got there, when I finally got in the office the receptionist said I was wrong (not true). I made an appointment for a cleaning, she said I had to come back - and blamed me for the issue. The receptionist badly needs charm school - I walked out upset and wont go back.

Coming from a Gentle Dental in Phoenix, no way I will do business at this office in Grossmont - too many good dental offices in San Diego to put up with bad manners.

Another bad experience with this dentist. I've been coming here for a couple years now, each time with a new dentist. I called to schedule an exam an cleaning, which apparently requires 2 1-hour slots. For my exam, I spent 5 mins getting x-rays, 30 seconds with the doctor glancing in my mouth to tell me there is nothing wrong and the rest of the time waiting for the cleaning. Then the hygienist comes in and berates me about the condition of my mouth because I do have a small amount of tartar buildup (which is common for me even though I brush and floss every day and I haven't had a cavity in over 25 years). So they claim I have bad gingivitis because my gums bled during the scraping. Shouldn't the doctor have told me about gingivitis during their cursory exam? As a result, they prescribe me a mouthwash to address the gingivitis and told me to come back in 6 months and recommend a teeth whitening product of theirs. I later read the mouthwash has side effects of causing even more tartar buildup and discoloration. I'll be changing dentists after this visit, it has been one bad experience after another.

especially the staff in the front desk very approachable and helpful.
and been called dental assistant Jay quickly guided me up to take x_ray in timely manner and seen by dentist Great experience as well I'm so glad that the first time visiting see the teams friendly
I didn't know that I had so much of dental problems till the dentist explained to me I'm so glad that I went and I will recommend family and friends to Gentle dental office.

Worst experiences at this place! Every time I go I see a different provider who then leaves or quits the practice. I have had two instances that their “lab” has sent back the wrong order after I’ve paid in full!! They are full of nothing but excuses. Will NOT be returning or recommending this place to anyone who wants great quality dental care.

It was my 1st time at this dental office. I was really pleased with the service I received. I had X-rays and a deep cleaning. The staff is well trained. I’m am looking forward to my next appointment:)

I cannot express how truly terrible this office is. One of the dentists was so bad I had to ask him to sit down and look at my teeth. He didn’t take a single minute to talk to me, didn’t look in my mouth for more than 30 seconds, didn’t look at my X-rays until after he saw me (admitted to me by the office staff). The hygienists are snarky and unkind. I had to tell the manager a week after I saw the doctor that he forgot to put in the referrals for me. The office staff does not follow up on phone calls they say they will, they don’t share information correctly, they all have different answers to the same question. No one correctly charts anything so records are always mixed up. I can’t count the number of times I’ve broken down on the phone with the office because they’ve lost information I needed, forgotten referrals, and needed to be reminded of things that should be in my chart. I cannot recommend anywhere less.
