Do not waste your time here. I've been going here for years and the quality has plummeted downhill. The front desk staff is unprofessional and rude and it's nearly impossible to get appointments. They used to have a team of hygienists but now they have only one, meaning it's going to take you about 6 months to get an appointment.

I should have left back in 2023 when they kept canceling appointment after appointment on me, saying it was because they didn't have a hygienist. The fact that a dentist's office can't keep or find hygienists should tell you everything you need to know.

This used to be a great dentist's office, but not anymore. My latest experience was being late to an appointment for the first time, so they would not see me and were extremely rude when I tried to reschedule. The hygienist was also at the front, but she was leaning back on a counter with her arms crossed, said nothing, and just glared the entire time I was talking to the front desk woman. The staff just act like you are wasting their time, so don't spend any of yours here. I certainly won't be going forward.

I have been a patient at Grant Road Dentistry for the past two years and recommend Dr Richard Kun very highly.

Dr Kun is not only a highly skilled dentist but I very much appreciate his kindness and calm demeanor.

Bernatta, the dental assistant, is very charming and professional and Olivia, Emily and Lupita, who work in the office, have each been very helpful to me on different occasions.

Just got my crown done. Dr Kun was very detailed with his work and made sure my bite was correct since my broken tooth ruined my bite. Highly recommended. The injection was painless. Just mild soreness after the procedure which went away within a couple hours.

What an amazing experience at Grant Road Dentistry! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The office was clean, modern, and comfortable, which immediately put me at ease.

The dentist, Richard Kun was fantastic—thorough, gentle, and explained everything clearly. I’ve always been a bit nervous about dental visits, but this team made it stress-free. Lupita, Jannette and the rest of the team made the whole process efficient and simple without feeling rushed.

If you're looking for a dental office that genuinely cares about their patients and provides excellent care, I highly recommend Grant Road Dentistry.

07/15/24 UPDATE:

Came back to their office on July 15th in regards to the persistent light burning pain in my gums. As I was suspecting for a few weeks, Dr. Kun also believes this is nerve damage in my gums. He suggested seeing a neurologist. But here's the kicker, Dr. Kun "believes" this nerve damage has nothing to do with the dental cleaning that his office administered, even though it started right after the cleaning and in the exact location where the cleaning occured. He states it's all just a coincidence. Comical. Dr. Kun expects me to believe that if all things remained constant and I simply cancelled the cleaning appointment on that day, the nerve damage in my gums would have still magically occured out of thin air even though the only traumatic experience my mouth went through on that day was their rough dental cleaning that went beyond the scope of work of your regular dental cleaning.

And the nerve damage is not the only complication that resulted after their procedure. About two weeks post cleaning, one of my teeth chipped and I noticed a crack on another tooth's filling (it now needs to be crowned as the filling is too big to be replaced). That crack was not there pre-cleaning as Dr. Kun did a comprehensive exam and did not mention it (the crack is very visible to the naked eye). It either happened during the rough cleaning, or sometime after as 2 weeks after cleaning I realized that I was now prone to subconsciously clenching my teeth (luckily the clenching seems to have went away some time ago). To avoid further damage, I purchased a mouth guard for sleeping. Mind you, I never before had a clenching problem before.

If you, the reader, are still keen on getting your dental work done here, please be careful with the hygienist mentioned below and get a second opinion if you feel like any procedures the dentist suggested go beyond what you initially expected.

----

The dentist suggested a cleaning that's "somewhere between a regular and a deep cleaning" as I did not get my teeth professionally cleaned in a few years. I'm pretty positive a regular cleaning would have been fine as I do not have any gum disease and never had. I floss multiple times a day and brush at least once daily. I proceeded regardless.

Even before she started, she brought up how her patient from the previous day was displeased with her cleaning and I believe she said that the person might have left without finishing the cleaning if I remember correctly. This should have been a hint for me.

Tracy was very rough on my teeth, never had a cleaning this rough, but then again, I only had regular cleanings in the past so was not sure if this was normal. It felt as if she was drilling my teeth at times, rather than scraping off the plaque with the ultrasonic scaler. I don't know if she was using the scaler at the wrong angle or what. After a rough session, I noticed the next day that she didn't even properly clean the plaque from between the front bottom teeth where practically all of the visible plaque was located, see photo.

I was left in constant light pain bouncing between my gums and teeth for a month straight after this procedure. After thinking it was over, it simply started going into remission and flaring up every few days in my front upper gums. It is currently May 28th, and it has been almost 4 months from this procedure and these pains are still flaring up constantly.

If the hygienist couldn't even clean the tartar that is visible to the naked eye on my teeth, it's scary to think what she was doing under my gums where it's impossible to see.

It has been a while since I've had a good experience at a dentist. The staff at grant road dentistry were very polite and made my experience easy and stress free. Didn't try to up sell like a lot of other dentists. I'm glad I found this place.
