I have been going to Dr. Mark at Hewlett Family Dental for over 25 years and continue to be impressed with his dentistry, patient care and overall kindness and compassion. Even though our family moved from Shelbyville to Louisville 16 years ago, we still go out to Shelbyville to see Dr. Mark. HEWLETT FAMILY DENTAL - SETS THE STANDARD!!!
Everyone recommended Hewlett Family Dentistry in Shelbyville for dental care and I am not disappointed. In fact, I am so impressed by their complete professionalism that they clearly set-the-standard by which all other dental practices should be evaluated! A beautiful facility, exceptionally caring staff (Crystal and Taylor), a phenomenal hygienist (Abbie), and a superb dentist (Dr. Stephen Hewlett). All were extremely kind and expertly attended to my needs.
Previously had a terribly bad experience at another dental office where it seemed 'Nurse Ratchet with her chainsaw' attempted to clean my teeth. The experience was so painful I could not brush my teeth for a week! Never went back!
Hewlett Family Dental has restored my faith in top quality dental care. Try them, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Didn’t have to wait. Called in exactly at my appointment time. Judith is an excellent hygienist. Wouldn’t consider any other dentist in Shelbyville. Been a customer for several years and love Mark, Stephen and all of the great staff. Highly recommend.

First time visiting Hewlett dental. We just moved from Texas and were looking for a new dental provider . very warm environment. The hygienist was very thorough and very mindful of my sensitive teeth. Dr. Hewitt was very personable. Definitely would recommend.

Me and my family have been going to this dental practice for more than 20 years. The doctors and hygienists are truly top notch in every way - both from a skill and knowledge perspective, and also in terms of caring and kindness. Even though I moved out of Shelbyville, I still drive back here for all my dental needs. I tried other places and quickly realized why Hewlett Family Dental is the best. After not going to the dentist for a few years due to traumatic experiences… was pleasantly surprised today! They handled my anxiety well, were so nice and comforting! Was very thorough and even though I’m in pain (my fault, too long since visit) very happy! I had a stain on my tooth from braces glue wasn’t removed all the way in high school.. no one ever bothered with it, but it’s gone now! Best cleaning ever, and oddly excited to return for the rest of my dental work. My kids also were very comfortable, we all had appointments simultaneously, and they had a great time haha! Thank you!

I always feel welcomed by all the staff from the setting of an appointment to arriving at the office. The dental hygienist “Abby” made me feel comfortable and at ease as she performed my cleaning and exam. Dr Stephen, like his father Mark, is very thorough with a final exam and open to any questions that may arise. Always a positive experience.
