Dr. Tuinstra and his staff are amazing! My hygienist, Anna, is fanastic, and I have seen other's who are also wonderful. The front desk staff is helpful, and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. I am so grateful for High Country!

As Seinfeld would say, I'm a "anti-dentite," and honestly so nervous about visiting the dentist. But Dr. Tuinstra and his staff (especially Anna) listen to all my concerns, treat me with respect & show genuine compassion. And yes, they are excellent at dentistry too! I'm so grateful I found them in our new home of Flagstaff.

They have always been kind, easy to communicate with, thoughtful about explaining pricing, and they have usually been able to fit me in within a matter of days! Staff was friendly! Too friendly. So friendly they refuse to acknowledge concerns of the patient or preferences. Then they may butcher your mouth to 1000% worse then when u came in. If you have money or a guarantee of money avoid this place. They want you as chronic patient.

I recently moved to Flagstaff, Arizona as my new permanent retirement home. Needing and finding a new dental practice was something I was not readily familiar with. Reading bios drew me to High Country Family Dentistry and getting trusted input from knowledgeable dental patients who were experienced with this practice seemed a logical start for me. I was even more impressed with the whole experience of my first visit than I could have thought that I would have been! From the fine ambiance setting and welcoming staff at the reception area combined with the warm and very pleasant clinical staff immediately set me at ease in that I had picked the dental practice that I had hoped for. When I went back into the exam rooms area I was surprised that even the clinical area had a homey feel to it – no staff in haste rushing about but a relaxed calmness seemed to be the standard of the milieu. It was just about then that a friendly faced gentleman came into the room: “Hi, I’m Ryan”, and I thought, ‘You mean Dr. Ryan Tuinstra, DDS?’ Well, this sealed the deal – I had found my new dentist, and I did so on my first pick! Dr. Tuinstra displayed a great interest in my previous dental health history and my current dental needs and various options to achieve them. I can, without hesitation, state that being at ‘High Country Family Dentistry’ was a calming experience, and I highly recommend ‘High Country Family Dentistry’ for anyone seeking for a dental practice that puts the patient at the center of the treatment plan as a full participating team member for their dental health!

Always happy coming here to get my dental work done. The staff is very friendly and they're always going to work with me no matter. Dr. Tuinstra gets the job done very fast and pretty much painless. I would definitely recommend them! The prices are pretty good!
