Dr Kim was great. I had to have an emergency tooth extraction, he got me right in and took care of the problem. I am recovering well the day after. His staff was so friendly, it was a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr Kim, will definitely be going back for any future dental needs.

I had a mixed experience. While Dr. Kim himself was excellent—professional and skilled during my procedure for pericoronitis and tooth extraction on September 30, 2024—the billing process was a complete nightmare.

Because it was a same-day surgery, I was required to pay the full amount of $2,909 upfront, with the promise that my insurance claim would be processed and my refund issued within 30 days. My insurance received the claim on October 3, 2024. However, I didn’t receive my refund until December 26, nearly three months later.

Throughout this time, I had to repeatedly follow up with the office. On October 28, I was told their billing office (based in Texas) was still processing my refund and that it would take another 30 days. When I followed up four weeks later, I was told the holiday season might be causing delays and to check back on December 5. After calling again on December 5, I was told to wait another two weeks.

Finally, after yet another call on December 20, they informed me they would manually refund my credit card. I finally received the refund on December 26. This delay and disorganization were incredibly frustrating. If I hadn’t been so persistent, I doubt I would have received my refund or even a follow-up call.

While Dr. Kim provided great care, the inefficiency and lack of communication in the billing process make it impossible for me to recommend this office. There are many other skilled oral surgeons in Orange County with better-organized billing departments. I won’t be returning.

Dr. Kim is an amazing oral surgeon w/ a stellar office staff—very warm and so great w/ kids! My 4yo son had a mesioden & he was nervous to get it removed, but they did a great job, making him feel really comfortable & safe. They were efficient but answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. They also did not give me any grief when I requested to opt out of the IV antibiotics— respect!
They have also been very professional and thoughtful about following up with us, to make sure his recovery is going well. They really go the extra mile.
We drove all the way from Pasadena because Dr. Kim came highly recommended by our dentist, and I’m so glad we did! Highly recommend all around!

My daughter and I both had wisdom teeth extractions by Dr. Kim. Both cases were probably relatively difficult - hers were submerged and impacted and mine were stubborn and overdue. Dr. Kim performed both procedures with extreme skill and precision. This is evidenced by the fact that my daughter and I both recovered almost immediately with minimal residual soreness and were back in action the next day. There was no trauma or damage to the surrounding area and the sites of the extractions were clean and smooth. My daughter also thinks he's very nice! Thank goodness I don't have more wisdom teeth to extract but if I did I know where to go.

I had to get 4 wisdom teeth out at age 31 and could not ask for a better and more seamless experience. Dr. Eric Kim was a pro and completed the job within 30 minutes. The two bottoms wisdom teeth roots were close to the nerve and the doctor did a fantastic job of avoiding any damage. Even more so, it's been a day since the procedure and I feel little to no pain. The whole staff was extremely friendly as well. Couldn't ask for a better experience! I highly recommend if you live in the Irvine/South OC area!

I got my wisdom teeth extraction done in 2018 by Dr Eric Kim and I still talk about how great of an experience it was. I’ve now heard several stories of other peoples’ stories with wisdom teeth done by different places and I’m so happy I went to Dr. Kim. I had a quick recovery and 0 complications. If I had to get any other oral surgery I’d fly back to Dr. Kim!

I am 10 years old and I want to say Dr. Kim is the best doctor. My braces doctor told me I needed surgery for 2 teeth to be removed. I was very scared because it is my first surgery and I was very worried. But when I went to go see Dr. Kim him and the nurses was very nice. He made me feel not scared and not worried. I did not like the shot he gave me but the surgery did not hurt at all. I could not eat much food for one day after the surgery but the next day I could eat. I recommend Dr. Kim for anyone needing teeth surgery!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out recently, and I’m so glad I went to Honest Oral Surgeon to get it done! Dr. Eric Kim was very kind and made sure I was well-informed about what the procedure would entail, and I was even able to contact him with my questions regarding the healing process in the following weeks. The pain actually stopped the day right after the surgery, which I hear is rare! Minimal swelling too! The extraction spots are now fully healed.
