Simply one of the best dental practices that I’ve had the pleasure of utilizing. They are more like a family dentist than anything. They are very professional and truly care. They sent a birthday card to my son signed by everyone and they greet us by name as soon as we entered the office which means they put effort into customer service and support. I live in Menifee and drive all the way to Carlsbad because of the service and treatment they provide.

Dr. Hurst has been great, two in our family have had Invisalign and one had braces. Everyone has been pleased not only with the results but also the overall experience. The office staff is great to work with for scheduling and payments. In the multiple years we have been going I don't believe we have ever had to sit in the waiting room more than 5 or 10 minutes before the kids were called in for their appointments. When we have an broken bracket or excessive pain, they were able to get us in very quickly. Dr. Hurst makes a point to come out and check in with the parents at each visit even if only to say everything is tracking and we'll see you in x number of weeks. Thank you to the Hurst Team a job well done!!

Hurst Ortho is nothing short of amazing! I am extremely impressed with their patient care & the thoughtful little "perks" they offer when starting the expander &/or braces journey. Their staff is amazing, very accommodating & I love how they come up with fun, little monthly quizzes/games/raffles/etc. to occupy patients during office visits while playing great music throughout the office. They work hard at making what might typically be considered a less desirable experience into a fun, enjoyable one which makes office visits that much easier. My daughter actually looks forward to her appointments at Hurst Ortho which isn't surprising now that I know what I know.

Dr. Hurst is super friendly, explains things thoroughly at a basic, understandable level & went above & beyond to coordinate with our pediatric dentist & personally called us the next day to provide an update. The first day my daughter got her top & bottom expander put in, he called to check-in a few hours afterward & did the same the day she got her braces added to the mix.

Lastly, their pricing is competitive, they are willing to work with your dental insurance & offer in-house (0% interest - I think?) financing, although we chose to just pay up-front. Hurst Ortho is very involved in the local schools & the Carlsbad community which demonstrates how they really aren't just a business that only cares about making money, but that they have heart & care about their patients 1000%!

As a mid-60s patient, I had heard for years that Invisalign could not yet solve my lifelong crossbite. With age, the damage from the cross bite was accelerating (grinding, misdirected wear and tear, etc). After hearing good things about Dr. Hurst and some improvements with Invisalign, I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Hurst at the urging of my regular DDS. I am sooooo glad that I did! It was a long process, but it worked. After 3 years (my mouth was a total mess, so it took a while), the Invisalign plan from Dr Hurst was a success, and I now have a real bite! My DDS and I thought that the condition of my mouth would not have survived very well with the direct pressure of hard wires and clasps. My old fillings and crowded mess of a mouth would have been an invitation for a few root canals and caps. The gradual and softer process of Invisalign worked well, and allowed for a gentle crossing over and out of my cross bite.. Whew!

Dr. Hurst is the best he always takes the time to talk to each parent about each of his clients and make me feel at home here! It was my son’s Birthday on his last visit and he gave him a little gift bag with treats and balloons! It was above and beyond being an Orthodontist. Highly recommend Dr.Hurst and his wonderful staff!

It was a great experience from beginning to end for my adult braces. All my kids got braces at Hurst Ortho, then it was my turn. I was never nervous going to each appointment, which says a lot for them!
