Came here by recommendation of our pediatrician because our baby was sick; showing signs of dehydration and was having trouble breathing due to a virus. Normally we love ihc, but we have no plans to return to this hospital. Will be going to gunnison instead. The receptionist who admitted us kept referring to our baby as "that baby" any time she talked to other staff, our nurse was extremely dismissive of our concerns and took every opportunity to teach us about why we were wrong for assuming anything was abnormal with our baby's behavior, the rt who was assigned to us fought and gave sass when I expressed concern and confusion over her diagnoses; she told us that if we weren't in the hopsital telling her our baby was sick that she wouldn't be able to tell, even though he was struggling to breathe and his head was sunken in, and made us feel like we were just paranoid parents that were annoying her. The only good doctor we had was Chad, who acknowledged our concerns and did what he could to show us that he was trying to find out what was wrong or what solutions could be made, even though none were found. This is an adult hospital. It does not seem to treat or understand babies and I'd rather take the trip to primary children's to get opinions from child specialists than come here again.

I am really disappointed with my care from this hospital. Diagnosed me with one thing to my face, then behind my back sent a different diagnosis to my insurance, and my insurance will not cover my hospital stay. I'm really upset. I already called clinical relations and cant get a hold of anyone.

I had my last baby here. I can’t remember the name but an older nurse with glasses was one of my nurses. She kept making comments about why she never made it through nursing school and was just overall not great. I was actually very upset that she made those comments while being around my newborn baby.

The same nurse (again don’t remember her name) was working in the emergency department when my daughter broke her arm. There was other people in the emergency rooms next to us but my 8 year old daughter was scared and crying. She wasn’t scream crying but a scared 8 year old crying louder is normal. That nurse opened the curtain to the bay and told my daughter “suck it up and be quiet. There are other people in here and not just you”. I was baffled. I didn’t realize what was said till a few seconds later. But I was pissed. If the nurses at this hospital are going to treat patients like that it’s an absolute joke. Hope it gets fixed. Needless to say I will make the drive to nephi or gunnison if we ever need a hospital again..

I drove my friend to the Sanpete Valley Hospital ER for a dislocated tibia and everything was so professional. I called ahead and spoke to Aaron to let him know we were coming. When we arrived at the bay, we were met by Aaron and his team and they immediately swept him into the ER via wheelchair, took his information, and got him prepped for scans, and got him in their system.
The nurses were friendly, communicated clearly, and allowed the patient to be "in-the-know". Overall it was a pleasant experience, the only issue we had was the fact that when they were starting the IV, there seemed to be miscommunication between the nurses with what they had already done and what they needed to do in order to get the IV started.
Overall, a great experience for a small town hospital. Thank you to the nurses and doctors that helped tonight!

Drs and nursing staff was good , the case worker Amy not so much. Was trying to find a rehab place for my mom . She said it was a rehab facility but it was nothing more than a long term care center. When I called to talk to her about trying to get my mom moved to a rehab . She did not return any of my phone calls. She got her out of their hospital and I’m pretty sure that was all she cared about.

I used to always joke about this hospital when I would come visit my grandparents as a kid. However, my 93 year old grandpa was admitted to this hospital with covid. They took amazing care of him and he is still with us today! I've seen some bad reviews and I just want to say that the care that was given to my great grand father was fantastic. I found out today that I have covid and I have family members telling me I should make the hour drive to come here because all though it's a small town, they actually care and utilize their resources. I'm hopeful my symptoms don't get any worse, but if they do, here is where I am coming.

I fully believe you saved my grandpa's life and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had Dr. Cole as my OB dr and he was perfect every step of the way. Everything was up to me and he didn't intervene or force me to do tests I didn't want to do. When I did go into labor a month early I was so lucky to have him deliver at this hospital as well. The nurses were all amazing and stuck by my side and Dr. Cole was great, I had to have a C section but surgery was a breeze and recovery was so easy thanks to the amazing job done by the staff. The anesthesiologist Chris was also amazing- epidural didn't hurt at all and he spent the night at the hospital so anytime I needed him he was there within 5 minutes. I love how small the hospital was because the nurses were great checking in on me and the baby and helping me so much. I felt comfortable sending my husband home to sleep at night because they were so awesome helping me feel safe and at home. I know a lot of people go to Gunnison or up to Utah county to deliver because this hospital is so small but I would recommend it in a heart beat!!

Our teenage daughter went to use Sanpete Valley Hospital services while working at camp Tifie. After calling in advance she was admitted in a timely manner with polite staff. A series of tests were administered then she was sent away without treatment. Contacting our local IHC in Park City was completely different. They mentioned that the way she was treated was not their standard of care and more should have been done. As it turns out we ended up having to take more time and pay for it again. They should have provided service when she arrived at Sanpete in the first place. Please train this doctor like crazy.
