I have been meaning to give a review to Dr. James Lin & his staff for years. I refer everyone, who asks for a fantastic dentist, to his office. From the welcoming & organized front desk, to the comforting & thorough assistants, to Dr. James Lin himself, his office is the best dental practice that I have ever experienced in over 50 years. Dr. Lin is a highly skilled & immensely talented dentist, along with being kind, calm & approachable. One cannot help but to feel confident & comfortable around him. I can personally state that he has been my dentist for many years, as well as, my entire family. I have never had an experience less than perfect. I will continue to recommend him to anyone needing an incredible dentist.

From my very first visit, I was impressed by how welcoming and accommodating the entire team was. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel like more than just a patient, they treat you like family. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lin for almost two years and had a mostly positive experience with his staff until this week. During my last visit in October, I had scheduled my next appointment. Last week, I received a text message from Dr. Lin’s staff letting me know that they needed to reschedule my appointment. No problem, I replied that Mondays and Fridays around the same time would work for me. Dr. Lin’s staffed replied a few days later saying that I had been rescheduled for a new appointment *2 months* after my originally scheduled appointment. I gave the office a call thinking it would be easy enough to find another appointment within the same month, considering they were the ones looking to reschedule. I asked about the week after my originally scheduled appointment, and I was told that their office would be closed on that Monday. No problem, so then I asked about the week before my originally scheduled appointment. I received a rude reply from Alicia, who said that their appointments “book up early” and that “my dates were so specific”…

At this point I was very confused. To recap, I was calling them back to accommodate their request to reschedule my appointment which had been scheduled many months ago. I had given them 2 out of 5 days of the work week as available options and inquired about different weeks within the same month of my originally scheduled appointment. At that point, I asked Alicia to just have Dr. Lin give me a call. He offered a last min appointment for next Monday, which is 2 months before my originally scheduled appointment.

As a patient, I am not interested in bending over backwards to accommodate a rescheduling request from rude staff. There are far too many good dentists in Los Gatos for that. I hope Dr. Lin and his staff will take this review constructively and reflect on how they could have handled their rescheduling request.

Their patient education and personalized advice on oral hygiene have been invaluable in maintaining my dental health.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr Lin and the entire team. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made both of my kids feel at ease—a big plus since they can be a bit nervous about dental visits.

The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They took the time to explain each part of the process in a way that my kids could understand, which really helped ease their fears. Dr Lin has an amazing way with children—gentle, patient, and so kind! My kids came out of their appointments smiling and even looking forward to the next visit.

For my own visit, I was equally impressed. The hygienists and Dr Lin took time to address all of my questions and made me feel comfortable and cared for.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly dental office that provides exceptional care for patients of all ages, I highly recommend Dr Lin. We couldn’t be happier with our experience, and we’re grateful to have found such a fantastic dental team.

I came in for icon resin infiltration and couldn’t be happier with the results! After doing much research about how to get rid of the white spots on my teeth, I finally found another solution other than veneers which felt too invasive and unnecessary for my situation. I was so excited when I came across James Lin DMD and saw that they do this treatment because there are not many dentists in the Bay Area that do it. The whole team was very kind and helped answer all of my questions which made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend coming here and doing icon resin infiltration if it’s something you have been considering. Can’t wait to show off my new smile!

I can be a bit of a “Drama Queen” when it comes to a dental visit. I lost dental insurance when I retired, so had not been to a dentist since 2006. A lot of work was needed. My gosh, quite a few advances in dental procedures since 2006, especially deep cleaning. The great news: all work done with NO pain or issues afterwards! The staff is fantastic & Dr. Lin was focused on keeping me comfortable and informed. I could not be more pleased with the results and my experience. I am going every 3 months now for cleanings to keep up on care. Grateful for the expertise and care I received. Highly recommend!
