Outstanding Holistic Dental Care for the Whole Family

I discovered Dr. Joan Sefcik a few years ago on Yelp when I was having some serious health/autoimmune issues (I was only 30), and she has been an absolute game-changer for my dental health. Now, not only do I go to her, but my three children do as well.

I initially went to Dr. Sefcik to address issues with my teeth and to safely remove all my amalgam fillings, along with a permanent metal bar that an orthodontist had placed years ago. Thanks to Dr. Sefcik, I have been metal-free in my mouth for two years and have noticed a significant improvement in my overall health.

Dr. Sefcik is incredibly kind and genuinely listens to your needs and concerns. She takes a holistic approach, focusing on the root cause of issues and only performing necessary procedures in the most natural way possible. Her dedication to holistic dentistry is reflected in the entire staff at Austin Dental Wellness. Everyone there shares the same values, and their kindness and passion for their work are evident.

The front desk staff is exceptional, especially the amazing woman who manages appointments and billing. She is organized, efficient, and always helpful, whether it's rescheduling an appointment or explaining details on my bill.

I wholeheartedly recommend Austin Dental Wellness for anyone seeking holistic biological dentistry for their entire family. Dr. Sefcik and her team provide outstanding care and truly make a difference in your dental and overall health.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Sefcik who was referred to me by my chiropractor. I’ve been looking for a more holistic minded dentist, and he said she is amazing and after my first visit, I agree!! The dental hygienist is also amazing, so friendly and filled with great info and tips and not an ounce of the “guilt tripping” you get from so many other hygienists. Dr. Sefcik examined my teeth, she gave me solid (much healthier) options and recommendations for a treatment plan and sharing her knowledge all the while being very personable. The technology they use for the x-rays is much more thorough and advanced than anywhere else I’ve gone and I could plainly see how my teeth, gums and roots looked. I’ve never had my teeth cleaned with pumice and essential oils before and I loved the option of choosing which “flavor” I wanted. My teeth feel very clean. I actually enjoyed this dental visit very much and I will be returning and recommending them to others!
