so so glad I decided to go here for my wisdom teeth removal. I had extreme anxiety around every step involved with the removal, from sedation, to pain, to healing, and everything in between. everyone in the office made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my many questions I had. I didn't feel ANYTHING the first 2 days, like seriously no pain. I almost couldn't believe it, but it was amazing. I'm now 2 weeks post op and have had no issues involving the surgery or post op. the only issue I personally had was getting sick/stomach issues from the consistent ibuprofen/antibiotics for managing any pain following the appointment but went away after I finished my meds. if I ever needed surgical dental work in the future I would go back again for sure. the procedure was so quick and easy which I appreciated since I didn't have any time to even think about it before we started lol. it was a bit expensive but not too much more than I was predicting before going in, and honestly so worth it for how easy the whole process was. I would for sure reccomend this office to anyone that needs wisdom teeth removed or surgical dental work of any kind!:)

I have needed to get my wisdom teeth out for more than 10 years and had gone to other oral surgery offices in San Diego but never felt comfortable enough to go through with it. I was referred to Dr. Shelton by my new dentist and went in for a consult.
I booked to get all four wisdom teeth out before I left the office. Everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable. They answered all of my questions and gave me all the paperwork and presentations to get beforehand.
The day of the surgery I was out of the office within an hour. It was so fast and I was fine by the evening. The Dr. even called to see how I was, which shows that he cares about his patients.
Thank you to everyone at this office for making this such an easy oral surgery. I have already passed your number out to my family and friends.

I got my wisdom teeth out on 11/18/2021

After consulting with 5 different oral surgeons, I decided to go with Dr. Shelton.

Dr. Shelton is patient, kind, informative, and understanding. I am seriously so thankful that I went with him instead of anyone else. As told by all the surgeons I've seen before, my procedure was going to be a little more risky due to the impacted positions on top of the nerves. But when I spoke with Dr. Shelton, he acknowledged that and had a more suitable plan for me that would still get the job done and not risk losing my sense of feeling in the mouth.

Day of the surgery was very easy. I don't remember too much about it. But after speaking with Dr. Shelton a week later, he said I did great and that the procedure went well. My recovery went as expected with pain and swelling. Dr. Shelton sent me a text to check in to see how everything is going and I really appreciated the extra care that he takes. He dealt with some of my anxious feelings with kindness.

Now I want to acknowledge the administrative and clinical staff from both locations. They are also so kind and caring. I think it says a lot when it seems like the staff enjoy working there. They were patient and easy going with my anxious worries too! Heather from the coastal location was responsive and understanding when I struggled to figure out my insurance situation. Overall, I would come here again if needed and I'll be sending my siblings here too.

I am a person who is very afraid of anything that has to do with work on my teeth. Everyone in their office was extremely friendly and caring from the reception area all the way to the Dr Jonathan Shelton. I had my both of my bottom wisdom teeth pulled and I have to say that it was the most relaxing pain free visit I have EVER had. Thank you to everyone in this office for making me feel comfortable. Especially the dentist aide who was wonderful and explaining everything to me and helping me keep calm. An extra shout out to dr Shelton for calling me later that day to check to see how I was doing that is definitely going above and beyond. These are the types of things people do when they are doing the job because they are passionate and love their job. Thanks again everyone I will DEFINITELY by recommending this office to anyone and everyone!!
