Despite my being an out-of-town patient, he accommodated me on a weekend to ensure I could leave Palo Alto early. His responsiveness is unparalleled—he consistently replies to texts and emails within 48 hours, even on weekends.

Dr. Li performed a Maxomandibular advancement for sleep apnea over 10 years ago. Great surgeon. I don’t think anyone has done more MMAs than him. Cost me over $30,000 out of pocket for paying him which insurance would not cover. He said that the payment for that surgery that the insurance offers is about $1500 and so I understand he wouldn’t accept that for a four hour surgery. I think there was a guy at a teaching hospital that no longer works there – that could’ve done it without asking for any extra payment and just accepted what the insurance paid. I decided to go with this doctor because he’s done more of these surgeries than anyone else. And the reason I’m giving him three stars is because I still remember how rude he was during our first encounter. Just like someone else who gave him a one star review. I don’t know what I did to set this guy off. I think I politely asked for a discount. After all $30,000 is a little ridiculous. especially over 10 years ago. At which point he said “I don’t care if you get the surgery done or walk out that door”. He said other people find him rude. That’s the most over-the-top ridiculous thing I’ve heard any surgeon or md say to me ever and it still bothers me 10 years later, which is why I’m giving him a three star review today.

Dr. Kasey Li and his team are really amazing. I flew all the way from Israel, had EASE and I’m very happy with the results so far. It’s been less than a month and I already am feeling the improvement.

I recently was treated by Dr. Kasey Li at Stanford and had a truly life-changing experience. Prior to visiting Dr. Li, I had undergone an MMA surgery with another Stanford surgeon with a very minimal 3mm advancement, and my AHI remained the same one year after surgery as it was before surgery -- in other words, the surgery did not improve my sleep apnea at all. However, Dr. Li was able to help me with by performing his EASE procedure, which not only helped me sleep better, but also prevented me from needing another revision MMA surgery to advance me the clinically recommended 10+ mm (instead of just 3 mm).

Compared to MMA, EASE was much less invasive (I was back at work in less than a week), and after several months of gradual expansion with Dr. Li, he had gotten me off CPAP completely, allowing me to sleep much better without having to wear an uncomfortable mask forcing air into my nose every night. I was surprised at how much more helpful EASE was for my sleep apnea than my initial MMA, given the latter required a month off work on a full-liquid diet.

Treating sleep apnea is a mine field. I researched the alternatives to EASE heavily, and every other option was significantly more invasive and risky (any maxillary expansion procedure involving a LeFort cut is going to be rough and risk complications). There's also quite a few completely unproven / ineffective treatments that do not help sleep apnea at all that you have to be prudent to avoid.

Dr. Kasey Li is truly the best in the world and will take excellent care of you. I am forever grateful for his help and expertise.

Dr. Li operated on our son's jaw recently. Our whole family flew from Austin, Texas to Palo Alto, CA so that our son could have the surgery by Dr. Li. This was a complex surgery and our family had quite a bit of anxiety about it. What helped was that Dr. Li had come highly recommended from two doctors locally here in Austin. The surgery was a success and our son is sleeping much better at night and is doing real well. About 9 years ago Dr Kasey Li performed surgery to correct my underbite. After 2 rounds of braces and expanders from childhood to college, my underbite had still been a challenge preventing me from being able to bite through things and causing a good amount of jaw pain regularly.
I do not feel things could have gone any better. The surgery went well, recovery was easy with minimal pain, and the results have been life changing. I no longer snore, I can bite through everything, and I no longer have jaw pain. He was easy to work with, fast to answer questions, and greatly improved my life.
