Literally the best place I’ve been. I was seen by Alicia Follmar Wang. She answered all my questions and concerns. Money was the least off my worries I just needed a professional who I could trust to pull all four wisdom teeth.

Before coming to this office, I had been to a few dental offices which recommended various oral surgeons, none of which looked clean and/or professional to me, not enough for me to trust. A close friend of mine who I reached out to after searching for so long told me about this office and how great they are and sure enough it proved right.

The entire staff was/is kind and I couldn’t have picked a better place to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Everything was far beyond what I could’ve asked for and everything went perfectly well. Thank you so much!

I went for the procedure to remove my wisdom teeth. The procedure went well. But the follow up process is just horrible. The management failed to file for insurance properly and they sent me 600$ due mail to my old address multiple times, which I no longer reside.
At least an email or a phone call would have sufficed to fix this immediately. But instead they sent the debt to collections, who day in and day out call and harass. After knowing my bill due went to debt collectors I called up the doctors office to fix this mistake two weeks ago and I have never received a follow up call.

I love dr follmar the second. And my husband thinks he’s going to let , a generall practice Dr in Los Gatos take out wisdom teeth now at the age of 70. I said why, why do you need them gone? He replied I don’t know why.
Long story short he is going to my hero, KennethE. Follmar , md oral surgeon. Get this. A true story, I was at dental office in town , I freakyilee was in chair. And the dentist sliced my Tonque will the drill. He did not mean any malice. I was cool didn’t know it happen. I was taken to Dr. Follmar, office right away bleeding from tongue. He is a master and a gentleman. Stitched it up. And cared for me. I love the man. Totally gentle soul, experienced of course, went to school for many years , beyond others. I still went back to original doc to do his thing. And I’m ok now. 2 yes later. Oral Surgeon know what the hell it takes to extract a wisdom tooth. General Practioners don’t. I only went back to general practioner for more of the work I need because I had pay him/ her in advance for the work to be done. I have a good credit rating and have lived in L G for 35 Yrs. Anyway it was astonishing drill sliced my tonque. Paid in advance. Somewhere around 5 Grand. Still think about if was worse than it was. Love Follmar, II

Love this office !!!! The family Doctors Ken, Troy and Alicia are all amazing. Very knowledgeable professional and light handed. Staff is amazing as well. These doctors do not disappoint !!! From wisdom teeth removal to implants my kids and I have had nothing but stellar service.

What a wonderful office caring and kind. The patient comes first. Dr. Alicia is great as well as the staff in this office. I received a follow-up call a couple of hours after my procedure to see how I was feeling. Dr. Alicia also checked on my right after as well.

Gruff, impatient treatment, gross overcharges. Be careful!

Was referred to Dr Follmar (Sr.) by my regular dentist, who was unwilling to do an extraction on a broken molar. Simple enough, it would seem. Dr Follmar got me in on short notice, which was appreciated. His bedside manner is gruff to say the least, and he seemed really impatient to get it over with. I was paying mostly out of pocket, so I was very concerned about the cost and asked repeatedly about it before the surgery. I was given a price that I agreed was fair, so we proceeded with the procedure. Once on the table, the doc notices a skin tag on the bottom of my tongue and offers to remove it. No big deal, two seconds, he says. Well, after all was said and done, a few weeks later I get a bill saying I owed over double what they had initially quoted. No mention of extra cost was mentioned while I was on the table. I found this to be extremely unethical, and when I inquired about it they were unwilling to be flexible in any way or stand behind their initial quote. It was basically meaningless, and it seemed they were telling me what I wanted to hear only to overcharge me as much as possible later.

Well, live and learn. I won't be back.

Update, turns out my family dentist referred my daughter to him as well for extraction of all four wisdom teeth, and he pulled the same thing again. After initially paying $1000 out of pocket, with assurances that everything was paid for, she got a bill in the mail a few weeks later itemizing everything that was already supposedly paid for and demanding another $1200.

My first (and last) experience may have been anecdotal, but there now seems to be a pattern of misrepresentation and overcharging. So be warned!!!

The V. 2.

I am writing this review specifically because of how strongly I disagree with the other one posted. My 19-year-old just had all four of his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Follmar this morning. I can't yet speak for the post-op results, but our experience in the office today was nothing but positive. We came to Dr. Follmar after another dentist recommended much more aggressive (and expensive) treatment. A friend recommended Dr. Follmar as an oral surgeon and her dentist, Dr. Beveridge, to our family after one of her kids went to him for another surgery.

Every member of the office staff was polite, cheerful and very knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. The pre-op and immediate post-op instructions were very thorough. We were shown a very good video explaining many of the questions my son had about the procedure, after which Dr. Follmar came in and met with us personally. He answered all of our concerns and was very personable. I felt very good leaving my son in his care for the surgery and am equally impressed with his entire staff. They were all very thorough and caring. Even the pain management prescribed is something I feel warrants praise. Dr. Follmar prescribed what seems to be a fairly conservative approach to pain management by encouraging proper and adequate timing between smaller doses of the prescribed meds. It seems he wants to help keep his patients comfortable and with as little pain possible, but without making them too dopey or suffering side effects like nausea, etc. I'm very pleased to have my other son going there in a few weeks for the same surgery. I would recommend Dr. Follmar without reservation.

Dr. Follmar is who took out my five daughters wisdom teeth and I went to him for the girls because his dad had helped me when I was a teenager and had a massive infection in my face; he also took out my wisdom teeth. He was wonderful with the girls, one of whom is scared of needles and he let me in the room until she had her shot to get her to sleep and keep her calm. I am going again to see him for his expertise on what to do with very sore jaws (possibly TMJ syndrome) and I suspect he will guide me to the right person if he cannot help me. His father and he have been wonderful to my children and myself. Highly recommend!
