I was under duress searching for a pediatric surgeon to perform a supernumerary extraction procedure on my 5yo old son.

After an extensive search and finding 3 surgeons, I opted to go with LFSO / Dr Um. Reasons being are that their office staff was very helpful and transparent, and Dr Um stood out as a clear cut expert in this procedure. BTW, I was convinced enough that I commuted all the way from LA county and chose them over some local surgeons.

In terms of the cost, I had to pay out of pocket and the cost of the procedure seemed fair and honest.

Overall, the procedure went smoothly and my son’s recovery was surprisingly smooth. He was only on Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for one night and was doing fine.

I highly recommend Dr Um / LFOS for anyone looking for a surgical procedure done on children.

I took 2 of my kids to Dr. Um to have their wisdom teeth removed. The staff was great and I felt like my kids were in caring and capable hands. Dr. Um was very thorough in going over the procedure, recovery, medications, etc and made sure we had all the instructions needed. On surgery day, everything went smoothly. Later, she checked in to make sure they were doing ok and see if we had any questions. The healing process went smoothly for both. I have my share of oral surgeries and implant and I can tell you horror stories of doctor leaving the room for 45 minutes and having to re-numb me 2X again. Dr. Um and her team was very caring. Dr. Um is very experience at what she does and it shows. You can really tell she cares about her patient. Dr. Um stayed in the room the whole process and explained what she is doing in details.
