I am new to the area as well as recently retired. My dentist of 20+ years retired AND Covid hit. So of course, as luck would have it, I break a tooth. What to do?!
Dr. Sam's (as he calls himself) office staff put me on his schedule the very next day. Taylor and Margie greeted me as if I was a long-time patient! Great enthusiasm and energy, while maintaining a professional attitude. Dr. Sam introduced himself as Sam, putting me at ease with his positive energy.
The entire process from temporary crown to complete exam and cleaning felt easy and reassuring. I do not yet have dental insurance, so all of this was out of my pocket. I gladly paid for such a professional, yet personal experience.

Very thorough with patient and they are using great equipment. The staff, from the first person who greets you, to the assistants, to the dentist, are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I have not yet met one of the technicians because the dentist himself does the first cleaning so he can get to know you (how often does that happen!). All six in my family will be going here.

Who likes going to the dentist? Not many. But thankfully Dr. Jerry is one of a kind. Unbelievable dentist who really cares about his clients.

I've been going to Dr. Jerry for years with unfortionately a mouthful of cavities. Every time he makes me feel comfortable and remembers what we chatted about the last time I was in. Very personable and makes your dental experience as enjoyable as it possibly can be. 🙂

If you're looking for a dentist, he's the best one on the central coast!

I love how the hygienist offered numbing gel for my teeth cleaning. I hadn't gone to the dentist for years because simple teeth cleanings were excruciating. I have overly sensitive teeth. Cavities were filled perfect, gently, and blend perfect with my teeth color. This dentist has the highest tech gear. Obviously well schooled. This dentist also cares about how your teeth LOOK (most important to me). Lastly, I love how the receptionist utilizes all levels of communication including texting (my favorite). I've easily canceled and rescheduled cleanings via a few simple texts. I'm a dentist snob. I won't just go to any dentist. This place is great.

Best dental office I've ever been to. The entire staff is really kind and welcoming. Dr. Yu makes it a priority to make his patients as comfortable as possible and offers the cutting edge in technological dental services and customer service. Highly recommend!

Grand Avenue Smiles has a very friendly staff and knowledgeable doctor in Dr. Yu. The office and rooms are very clean and have state of the art equipment. I am so satisfied with my experience there that I do not mind driving from Santa Maria. I highly recommend the office for adults and children.

Sweetest staff ever! Was about 5 minutes late to my appointment and instead of rushing me and seeming upset bc I was late they welcomed me in and were polite as can be! Most definitely a place of comfort and good work! Looking forward to returning -
