Dr Martin is an absolute artist with what he does with his surgeries. Working in tandem with Dr. Rajfer of LLUMC Orthopedics Surgery, they took a man knocking at deaths door and not only did Dr Rajfer basically save my life and arm, but then Dr Martin came in and basically reconstructed the exterior of my arm unbelievably. (As well as some interior too)...He went in and took body parts from different areas, and fused them into my arm to replace parts that were dead, and or beyond repair. He went in & took muscle from other places and reconstructed it into my humerus. He took skin flaps from my torso and you cannot even see where they came from. I was told I may have 10 to 20% Mobility after this, and at the time I was happy for that because I avoided amputation. Well it's 13 months later, and I have probably 90% mobility back. I've actually been able to do almost everything I did before. Of course I don't have the muscle strength i once had. And even if I never get that back, I still am a walking miracle. And to no credit of myself, the miracle was all performed by my orthopedic and plastic surgeon. The latter being Dr Mark Martin. I'm not a religious Man by any means, but if there is a God out there, I would imagine he probably goes to Doctor Martin for advice. That's how good of a surgeon this man is. And I've already written enough, but I could write another whole page on how wonderful his staff is as well. His doctors that work with him, I'm guessing in surgery they're still called residents, are all amazing. Their bedside manner was second to none. I feel bad for not knowing his complete name, but Doctor Martin had a young man working under him by the name of Dr. Ryan. And this guy was phenomenal. He sat with me over and over talking to me and helping me, and explainng to me all these things when I was in the hospital, and just making me feel a lot better about everything they were going to do to me. I spent a month in the hospital on that visit because I had such a serious injury. And Dr. Ryan probably came in and saw me no less than 10 times by himself. Not to mention him & his associates in Plastics and Orthopedics came by every morning about 5:30 a.m. to see me as well just to make sure everything was going okay. Every single day. I tell you something, these people care. These people conduct some of the utmost caring and unbelievable treatment I've ever had. This crew of Surgeons, residents, and nurses that worked on me during that month, as well as the couple surgeries I had since then, I think 10 all together, have been nothing short absolutely positively outstanding. The surgeons are second to none. And I feel like one of the luckiest man in the world because I had the doctor's work on me. I have a couple retired doctors, and one retired surgeon specifically in my family. And every single one of them was absolutely Blown Away by what Dr. Martin and Dr. Rajfer were able to do, and saving, and making my arm good as new almost. Now I know I've written on and on here and maybe even rambled, but I could probably go on a thousand more pages actually . And one more thing let's not forget, Dr. Martin has some of the most amazing young ladies working at his front desk. I apologize for forgetting her name, and I hope sincerely that she still at the office as I have not been there in a little while. But there is a young African-American lady there. Shes a young lady, and she was the sweetest most helpful front office staff I think I've ever dealt with. She is an asset to that team. One more time, thank you Doctor Martin and everybody else involved in your team!!!!!
