My wife had her wisdom teeth removed here and I will begin by saying that the surgery seems well done and was very quick. However, this positive part of the experience at Metro was completely overshadowed by the actions of some of the staff members. Before being put under anesthesia, my wife voiced to the nurse that she was nervous. Instead of comforting my wife, the nurse told her to “Get over it” and “Put her big girl panties on”. Shortly after, the doctor came into the room and was telling my wife that she had too many tattoos and needed to “Get off all that social media”. The other staff members in the room seemed appalled by these comments from both of these staff members, as was my wife. This lack of professionalism and bedside manner has caused me to lose trust in this office. I cannot in good faith recommend that anyone be treated here.

I suffer from extreme anxiety and Dr. Schmidtke and hos staff are AMAZING! I was treated with suck kind understanding from consult to procedure. I felt safe and heard and it made all the difference. I highly recommend Metro Oral!!

The lack of professionalism in this office is mind blowing. Before getting my wisdom teeth pulled I voiced to the nurse how I wasn’t the best with needles. She then responds with “well you’re about to get a lot of them, so you better put your big girl panties on.” I was honestly in shock over what I just heard. I think she sensed that so she then said “I don’t mean to be a B”. The whole experience just went downhill from there. Prior to my appointment the receptionist was very rude over the phone, which honestly should have been my first sign to stay away. I am all for taking jokes, but there is a time and a place.

I was going to schedule an appointment to get my wisdom teeth exacted until I spoke the receptionists. She was rude, dismissive, and not very informative. I'd rather deal with the pain and find another place to go

My experience with Dr Schmidtke and his staff were amazing. I had 2 infected teeth that I had been dealing with since July and because the were backed up, I couldn't get them pulled until after Thanksgiving. By the grace of God, I called one day in October, 5 weeks before my scheduled extraction, and they had a cancellation that next day, and I took it. The staff and the doctor made me feel extremely comfortable and calm. Dr. Schmidtke did amazing work on the extraction per my regular dentist. He also did extractions on my 2 children over a decade ago and his bedside manner is the absolute best. Metro Oral gets a 10 star review from me and I highly recommend this place.

Both my kids had their wisdom teeth removed 10+ yrs ago and I had a procedure done recently, with Dr. Schmidtke. Highly recommended. Very friendly and staff I worked with was wonderful.
