My dog ate about a pound of chocolate. I called Mountain Aire and they had us come right over. Upon arrival they immediately took Fang back and were able to get the chocolate out of his system. Every care giver I interacted with was exceptionally kind and caring. I'm so grateful to Mountain Aire for saving my baby. Behind the front desk, the facility has a sanctuary for flightless birds, three legged animals, and anything wounded that cannot be released back into the wild. I feel this space is the perfect symbol for what Mountain Aire is: angels for animals. Truly an incredible vet. I am beyond grateful.

Mountain Aire makes a serious effort to get to know your pet personally and keeps the owners engaged in their pets' health and treatment, something that is often lacking in the fast paced triage style of other vets. I've never had a vet make such an effort to maintain communication on my pet's condition before, and Mountain Aire has wholly embraced the convenience of the digital age with text updates and emails (if that's what you prefer). Their care is comprehensive, tailored to the individual, and they will work with you on budget, schedule, and your individual obstacles or needs. I wish truly that all vets were like this.

We love Mountain Aire! The Mountian Aire team always checks in after visits. The doctors take their time to explain our pet's diagnosis/treatment plan. I feel like my pets are genuingly cared for.

The vet techs and office staff are welcoming. Booking appointments is a breeze and the office is comfortable.

If I could give MAVH 100 stars, I would. We no longer live in Frazier Park, but we drive over from Las Vegas to have Dr Cosko and her amazing team care for our pets. We have been going to MAVH for 20 years. Love this place.

Stopping at nearby Fern Lake, part of Pine Mountain Club, we had just arrived with our terrier mix, Keiko, when she gobbled some jackass fisherman’s discarded fishing lure, including what turned out to be a very large hook that lodged at the back of her throat!
Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital came to our rescue in every way. We called and were invited in on an emergency priority, traveling the 30 miles to their hospital where they stood ready and waiting to help. And they were great to both Keiko and us, explaining next steps and risks, and working step by step to sedate her for xrays, then interpret the results and prepare the next step.
Keiko was lucky. The hook set just below her tongue and Dr Cosko was able to remove it with heavy sedation. It’s two days later and Keiko is already back to her old (she’s nearly 13 but acts about 5) self!
While we want to throttle some careless fishermen for leaving fish-scented tackle for our curious dog to swallow, we can’t say enough good things about Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital! Their facility had everything Keiko needed.
