Dr. Shank and his team are truly first class in every way. They go above and beyond in terms of customer service and results. The hygienists and other staff are consistently professional and very courteous. Dr. Shank has an extremely keen eye for detail and is very good about explaining his care in a way that's easily understood. My husband first started going to Dr. Shank, and I've always struggled with finding the right dentist so I thought I'd give Mountain View Dental a shot. What a first class office. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and above all concerned for your health. The cleanings are great, thorough, and comfortable. But the true star of the show is Dr. Shank. Always in a good mood, not only is he fun to chat with, he never seems rushed, always has time to listen. He works hard to make sure every procedure is perfect. One thing that stood out to me the most was how upbeat. Dr. Shank is with his staff. Doctors may not realize we can hear the "behind the scenes" and it's very revealing to how they truly feel towards their work. Dr. Shank speaks so pleasantly and respectful to his staff that it just brings up the whole office. You really do leave with a good feeling (possibly numb face) knowing they care and they are true experts. I would highly recommend Mountain View. It is even worth the drive from Colorado Springs! He has fixed an on going pain issue that several other dentists could not find. I just adore this office.

UPDATE: Review downgraded from 5 stars to 2 stars:
Team has had about a 90% turnover and all the wonderful staff is mostly gone. New staff and they're learning the ropes of their new jobs.
Dr Shank has lost his mojo; he only visits his patients once yearly instead of twice.
If he wants to go skiing with his family, patients will get canceled even if they have pain. There is no other dentist in the practice.
My husband and I consequently have found new dentists.

Dr Shank and his staff are far and away the best dental team I've ever used. The staff is kind, professional, and compassionate. I take great pride in my teeth and how my dental care affects my entire health. Mountain View is on-board with all my concerns. Plus - they take nearly every dental plan (maybe EVERY dental plan?) plus they have their own in-house insurance plan for those patients whose employers do not cover dental care. I love this team!

I could not speak more highly of Dr. Shank and his amazing team. I have pretty severe dental anxiety and teeth that are susceptible to issues, so tend to spend a lot of time in the dentist's chair. He worked very hard to take perfect care of my teeth, ensuring that work was done quickly, correctly, and to his very high standard. I have overcome many of my dentistry fears and issues, and have the highest confidence in his team. You'll never wait longer than 2 minutes for the start of your appointment, the team is courteous, kind and helpful and the work that they do is truly top notch.
